Headlights interchangeable?

Hi I have a e90 w/ HID, but seems like it only have one lens each headlight, it recently got the "lazy eye" issue (lens pointing down), i came across those ones in junkyard, but it have 2 lens each headlight, does anyone know if they are interchangeable? Much appreciated!

I was going to say the 2nd picture are for Canadian cars but I see you're in Ontario. The guy that told me this lives in Canada. He did say the inboard one isn't another projector though. Just empty.

Your light (first picture i presume) has a cornering light. It comes on when you're stopped and have turn signal on (just the one side) or also when turning (same one side only on). They are of no use to me. You might have to have errors coded out to switch but rest of the light is the same.

for me the inner one is for parking light, it will comes on when i twist the switch to first click, not sure if the 2nd image have that light or not though, but i would guess the connectors are the same?

Yes, interchangeable. Just need to remove the adaptive lights from the VO and add in the normal Xenons then default code FRM, etc.

Top one is adaptive xenon and bottom one is just standard xenon.

In Canada for sedans/wagons: 335's had adaptive xenon as standard whereas 328s had halogen as standard but standard xenons as the option.

The non adaptive ones will work with the proper coding as stated

I know you have a replacement pair of lights, but an other option might be to upgrade the bi-xenon projector in your current lights and sell the replacements. They are comamanding serious money in good conditon. This would give you new reflector lenses and possibly better bulbs. I am not sure if the LCI projectors can be replaced from behind without removing the lense. This would likely be the crucial factor.

Check out Retrofitlab in Holland, GTA Retrofits (on Facebook), and the other usual suspects. Others here may know if projector replacement is possible without lense removal with the LCI lights.

Adaptives were an option on the e90 3 series up here. Standard package came with the non adaptive xenons.

The lazy eye issue is easy to fix.
Most of the time projector just pops out of its spot and you need to pop it back in.

If you can find me a 335 in north america without adaptives Id be very impressed. Everything I've seen has shown both us and canada 335 had adaptive as standard.

I know US 328 had xenon and adaptive xenon as options; not sure about adaptive being an option on those for canada

Factory? What does the vin decoder show?

Every factory ordering guide (US and Canada) that I see shows xenon and adaptives for 335s under the standard category

Yes factory, VIN shows standard Xenons. I think I figured it out however, 335i's came standard with Adaptives, 335D's however could come with either (Which is what I've got).

Personally I like the look of the inner black (fake) lense lol
