Thank you for all the Info and links guys it’s much appreciated I believe I may be getting somewhere as today I’ve been out in the car and had a look at some of settings the previous owner had run.

First thing my gauges 100% were out of calibration with the jb4 turned on so as above a quick calibration through the Jb4 has sorted that out.

For some reason the rev limit warning was Set at 4k revs so that’s why I’ve been getting flashed at at 4K revs. now moved to 6k.

I’ve been in the car most of the day running in Map 2 and it’s been a dream totally different car Loved it :-) On returning home i checked to see if was still in map 2 and yep still in map 2.

One thing I’ve noticed the car starts different with the jb4 unit left on? Are you meant to just leave the jb4 on map2 and turned on all the time? (Fit and leave) Or turn the unit off at the end of every day?

I’ve also tried to find any Bluetooth device but sadly I’m not picking anything up.

Kind regards,

Drew.

Ps, what can cause the clocks to need recalibrating??

There is no reason to turn off the JB4 at the end of the day or drive.

You mentioned that it "Starts Different". Are you referring to the dial sweep that indicates the JB4 is active?

Or is there a difference in the engine sound or number of cranks required. Neither of these should be different with the JB4 turned on.

Re: Clocks

Usually the clocks need resetting if the battery level has dropped too low.

If the clocks only need resetting when the JB4 is left on, you may have to revisit the wiring. The JB4 should never affect the battery drain nor draw additional power when the car is turned off.

Btw: DP fixes often remain on if miss wired and are overlooked. Don't ask!

I believe the hazards flash when the engine is up to operating temps.

It’s a setting that can be activated too. I’ve got it set so when it gets to 72degrees I get the indicators on the cluster flash.

I installed mine myself and if you follow the instructions it’s not too bad. As long as you are careful and take your time with the re-pinning you’ll be fine.
