Start issue
Hey everyone!
Since the purchase of my E90 in January this year I seem to have a very worrying issue. The starter in my car acts really odd. It often has trouble with starting the car with the first "spin". What's more interesting - it doesn't happen every time I try to start it. From time to time it starts the engine with the first quick and smooth spin, and 10 minutes later it starts to act odd again, having trouble with cranking at all OR it actually starts working smoothly, having no trouble with rotating, but it needs to keep cranking for a few seconds before the engine actually starts. Its totally random, doesn't matter if the engine is hot or cold or anything like that. Here's a short vid I recorded : I'm 100% sure that it's not the battery, I tested it multiple times and it's practically new. Any idea what could cause this? I've heard that it might be caused by more things than just worn out starter. BMW 325i 3.0 USA (2006) Last edited by Hulton; 05-29-2020 at 06:19 AM.. Reason: Typos |
