I hear that more when the car is cold and first started. Getting used to it but I will have the exhaust back on Saturday, so I am willing to deal for a while.

Not quite. There is an H pipe in the oem exhaust and the mufflers will quiet down most of the.drone that comes from the muffler delete I have now.

what about making several holes maybe in those straight pipes and keeping some of the wool in the box, to reduce some of the noise, I mean it would take a lot of time to figure out the proper amount.

haha If this works I am hopping on board. I would be one to try this out but I blew $300 for my muffler delete which I had to get taken off because it was too loud.
I hope this works, please post a video!! |

They welded my pipe they didn't use clamps, I got stainless steel pipe and my tips I got send out for powdercoat. I agree 300 is a lot but I wanted to give it a shot and they were the best muffler guys in the area

Oh ok. I would think that the powdercoating would be where the money went. They soldered mine as well with stainless.

I have it on.....mechanic promised me pics later of what he did, but I got a look inside. It sounds siiick. Lots of burbling and crackling without the drone. Sounds very nice when you rev the engine and very similar to a PE exhaust.
He took out all of the insulation and perforated piping, and removed the H pipe, so its basically a straight pipe setup running through the mufflers. For some reason, the addition of the muffler through the pipes eliminates the drone. FWIW, I do have my main cats on, with the secondaries deleted. Video up later!
