It is the time to part away of the great supercharger! I have a project in mind for the n52, still a boosted option 😁. Kit has around 3,000 miles. I work from home so car is siting there most of the time. Changed oil every 1000 miles. I will include everything on the kit except the tune as its VIN locked by ESS you'll have to ask them for one or get it tuned by someone. Priced to sell.

It's the 120mm pulley (5-6psi)

I doubt it is the new Gen2 setup with the larger injectors/higher boost pulley - since he stated his has the 120mm 5-6psi pulley (could be wrong though)

Gen2 Kit has 115mm 6-6.5psi pulley

Even if it is Gen1 Kit, you can buy the Gen2 Injector/Software/Pulley Upgrade from ESS for the earlier systems:

Yup this is gen1. I had to email ess to double check. Upgrade kit price on their site is for existing vin matched cable. They quoted me 1500 for the gen2 upgrade if going to a new vin for a new cable and tune. Made me sad Bc I really wanted to go sc. And the new larger injectors are 4-6 weeks back ordered!!

So $1,500 to get it to work with a new VIN plus $3,000 for a used supercharger?

It's $4,700 brand new.

Yup but its out of stock as you saw. This is a gen. 1 people. Even if it were a gen 2 you still have to pay for the software.

Yeah...

I was seriously interested in buying this but I just contacted EAS tuning and they said it would be more economical if I were to buy it brand new and get free installation and have the 2 year warranty to my name.

They quoted $800 for the install and $895 for the software/tune. That doesn't include any additional cost if something were faulty or missing from the 2nd hand kit. That right there is in the brand new range in terms of money total (Im sure you can install yourself, but if someone doesn't have the expertise they would be in trouble if something were to go wrong as far as installation. and then you still would have to purchase the software/tune).

I'm willing to wait for the restock. They have kits ready, but they are just waiting on the injector order from their supplier.

***One question? Why did you have to change the oil every 1,000 miles? On the website it says 100% maintenance free. You changed the oil on the supercharger 3 times the 3,000 miles you had it? Seems a bit excessive?

They give you oil to replace very 1k miles, read a bit on superchargers and the vortech page. Nothing in this world is "maintenance free". Why would there be missing parts from my kit? Lol btw free installation means you gotta drive to them or an authorized place for installation. Most people don't live close to either.

No matter how you slice it, 3000 plus 900 isn't a bad deal.

Not quite just 3000+900. It's 3000+1500 for the gen2 upgrade, which would need a new vin-locked cable + tune.. it would be the 800 advertised on their site only if u have the same vin from gen1 . Per quote that I got from eas. If u bought the kit straight from them like stated above its 4700 which includes tune and install assuming the wait for the injectors is acceptable

Again install is free if you take it to an authorized installer or them, I doubt you'll drive xx amount of miles to whatever state they are in to get it installed. Good luck waiting and driving to get it installed.

Thanks for the information.

I live very close to EAS and they installed my ST coils for $1200 out the door w/free installation.

I didn't say anything is missing I'm just stating what they told me incase something is missing or they need something else it'll obviously be more for the install.

Great deal if someone can install it themselves and are content with the version/gen 1 of the ESS SC.

I know right? I guess people aren't that interested anymore. It felt good to be unique with the supercharger as there aren't many people that have it.
