Mid throttle stutter/hesitation

Just noticed when I give it gas to get on the freeway the car (335 07 74k) kind of stutters/hesitates. Feels kind of like when u run over those small speed bumps that are made of thicker painted lines. Linda like the road has bumps in it. Seems to be happening not during a shift but in gear. No check engine light or anything.

I did a search and can't come up with anything since I'm not sure what to search for since the car doesn't stop it's still going.

It was doing it slightly around 40 to 45 mph with 2500 rpm.

When I gun it it feels normal. Wouldn't plugs cool and injectors be more of an issue during wot?

I have the alpina tranny flash and walnut blast about a month ago.

Thanks

Small misfires. Either wait for a code or try to lug it and throw a code.

Lugging is a diesel term. You want to put a high load on the motor at a low RPM this will strain it. Normally it is not something you want to do. In the right circumstances though it will identify the week plug/coil etc.

Don't drop a gear....no....use a higher gear to increase the load to the engine.

Say 5th gear WOT at 2K rpm.

Garage List
Sounded like you needed a walnut blasting until I saw that you had one. Probably misfires. Have you done plugs recently.

Could definitely be spark plugs or a coil on the way out.

Was having a similar problem for quite a while. For me it ended up being a bad ignition coil.

I was only able to pinpoint it after I moved up to a more aggressive tune after installing my FMIC and chargepipe. Made it extremely obvious I was getting misfires. Moved around the ignition coils and the misfires followed. Best bet is trying to get the car to throw a code and tell you which cylinder is causing you the trouble.

just read and got these codes:

e194: fault CAN
A3B2: can signal fault terminal
a3aa can signal fault transmission/can ID failure

a0b1: input Pn signal fault from EGS
a0b5 and a118: signature detection error rate

nothing from the ecu for the engine.

new tank of gas and the problem is still there. reset the codes (maybe it was during my coding for alpine flash) and nothing else is popping up.

Possibility

Are you sure, or have you checked for any boost leakage? Had similar symptoms ,and it turned out that those bitchin plastic charge pipes they put on had 3 hairline cracks in it. Put a stainless one on..... car runs like a champ now.

Wouldn't that throw a code? Also noticed the rpms dip a little and I feel a small pulse on the gas pedal.

Why won't it just throw a code so I don't have to keep on guessing.

Have you tried WOT in 5/6th at like 35-40mph yet? You need to load the motor right up at low rpm.

Yea I did. It only has the shake around mid throstle. Full or 5/6 and it drives normal.

Just to confirm I'm asking have you tried 5th or 6th gear at around 35-40mph I think. You want to be just under 2000rpm. Then hit WOT from there no downshift. This will likely throw a code if it is a coil or plug. If you have done this I'm sorry for re confirming your answer was ambiguous.

Yea when I so it it seems to be fine. Only seems to happen when I start up hit 40 mph and around 2500rpm it stutters. Thanks for the reply.
