Hi guys I'm about to purchase a Pure stage 2 turbo for my 2011 335i E92. I'm a little concerned on the install since it will just be myself doing it without a car lift. If any of you guys have some free time to spare can y'all tell me step by step on what to do and how to do the install? Or give any tips on installing it. So far all I know is Drain oil, drain coolant, remove midpipe, remove waterpump, remove thermostat, remove downpipe, remove turbo and need a engine support bar. Anything else I'm missing?

You dont need a 2nd person. I did it by myself on ramps in the garage. You need to remove the passenger side motor mount too. No need to drain the oil, at least I didn't. Plan to replace all four hoses that connect to the turbo.

It isn't difficult, just time consuming. If you're not completely confident doing the job then just make sure you have a few days to get it done.

Contact Pure directly and they will usually work with you. If it were me though, I would either inquire about their stage 3 solution or wait a little bit until the information starts being posted. From what I can tell it will still be a simple solution but make more power.

Can you share more info on Pure's stage 3 solution? Interested to see what they have compared to other Stage 3 kits such as Speedtech and Big Boost.

I have next to no information on this since it isn't public yet. I have seen this photo floating around which appears to be a cast manifold built into the turbine housing. My theory is that they may be using this to get past the restriction of the stock manifold and possibly increase the turbine size to decrease back pressure. They may be able to use the front half of a PS2 or may use some other solution. All speculation at this point.

Thanks for sharing. Definitely looking forward to what PURE has in mind and if there is a some kind of incentive to upgrade, similar to what they did with PS1 trade in for the PS2 upgrade years back.
