Vessel: Figaro Dep. 7/15/08 Arrives ETA Charleston 7/29/08
Who's on it? I've got an '08 AW e92 335 coming. I think her name is going to be Cokie (since she's white and speedy)!

We probably have the same production dates being that the dealer received my car like 3 weeks ago.

Also on the Figaro- Financing alert
I'm also on the Figaro- Barbera Red E92 335xi. More importantly, my Center called me this morning to let me know that because my car is on land before 7/31, I am eligible for the 0.9% deal.
Heads up, if you're planning on financing you should ask about this. I was told the doc have to be signed before the end of the month, so guess where I'm headed today... |

Thanks for the heads up. My dealer told me my car has to be released to the carrier before they can do the paperwork. Hopefully the VPC is quick!!
Though, all in all, if we miss the cut off by a couple of days hopefully they'd still be able to get it done. Seems like they can let it slide a couple days either way since my car sat in Germany for 2 weeks waiting for a boat. Let me know if you lock in the 0.9% for sure today. It'll give me good ammo to go to my dealer with. |

Just got back from the Dealership
Completed the paperwork and locked the 0.9% rate today- saved some major $
The SM basically said that as long as the car was on U.S. soil, they could date the delivery docs to 7/31 (which they did) even though I won't see the car until 8/5 or so. Mooreski, you should definitely push this...seems like it's really up to the Dealership's discretion. |

according to the cargo tracker (http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTracking/bolSearch.do), my car had been discharged! AHHHH! How much longer?! My center said it should take 1-2 weeks, I'm hopeful it'll be less than that.

My car was discharged off of the Figaro yesterday morning too. My dealer thinks it may get to us in NoVA (BMW of Arlington) before Friday. Here's hoping! S |

Were you guys unloaded in Jersey? I thought they unloaded Mercedes there and only unloaded BMW in SC and CA!
My SA said the car can take anywhere from 2 days-2week between getting off the boat and to them! Figaro still hasn't hit Port of Charleston, I think it will sometime during the night and unloading will start tomorrow at 8:00 AM (based on Wisteria Ace and the boat my first order came on)!! http://www.port-of-charleston.com/vessel_schedule.asp |

Just talked to my dealer about 0.9%. The SA said the car has to be released from the VPC before they can get the documents going. They're worried about an audit that would turn up a delivery date before the car is released from the VPC. Once it's released tot eh carrier, BMW no longer has any idea of when it hits the dealer.
Figaro hits Charleston tomorrow. Hopefully the VPC will be extra quick. |

Figaro hit Charleston this morning at 0700, according to the port of Charleston, unloading starts(ed) at 0800. A little weird since I'm posting this at 0730 their time!

Figaro and Delivery
My car was on the Figaro too.
I am going in tomorrow, Wednesday, to complete the .9% financing and pay the balance. I won't take delivery until Friday, August 8 (I am on vacation in San Fran). The car won't physically be at the dealership until after the 1st but because it is in the country "en route" to the dealer, they can close on the paperwork, financing, etc. with me. Very happy to get the .9%!!! Saves several thousand bucks for me |

Figaro departed Charleston yesterday at 1:00 PM. Hopefully all our cars were off and headed to the VPC!
I think I'm seeing how you guys are getting to do the 0.9% paperwork early, you're both Jersey VPC-ers. You have a 2 day jump on my so it's pretty guaranteed that the VPC will release you to shipping before the end of the month. Us SC VPC-ers are going to be close. Hopefully they're getting down to the last cars coming in for '08 and there aren't many cars coming in right now. |
