I dont have a factory roof/rack, is this all I need if I want to carry skis/boards? or do I have to purcahse something else?

hey bmwe90, you need cross bars that go across your roof and then you strap on the yakima attachment (which is how it works for all roof accessories)

so when you hit the mountain, just put the snowboard attachment on the bars, and then put the bars on your car...

they have really nice oem bmw ones for $134 from pacific bmw...they use coded bolts instead of keys http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...catalogid=4894
