I am about to install some used replacement front spindles I got replace my higher mileage ones.
However, I am now questioning whether the bearings are good in these spindles.
When laying them flat on the hub face down, should there be any play in the spindle at all? There is a very very slight movement.
I understand how to test these on a car by grabbing tires, but this is just a spindle out of the car.
I don't want to be re-doing this obviously, but don't feel like waiting another week for parts and then resuming the install either if I'm worried for no reason.

I am not experienced enough to comment on this but if you were to install them and then hear a rumbling, click, clunk, or warbling, then you could easily seek out the replacement axles.

Thank you.
I think I will replace the bearings since I have the spindles on the bench. Just didn't want to drop another CAD$200 into parts (yes, that is how much a pair of these cost in Canada locally - I know they can be had for US$40 each and wait of a week) if not needed, but I am not taking these things apart again.
