'08 E92 335xi AW/CR - Hyperblack 189's, Bilsteins, i-sport springs
Hey what's up fellas --- recently picked up my dream-combo in NY and drove her home to FL. AW/CR, Auto, Nav, Sport, Premium, 18" wheel option, loaded minus backup sensors and comfort access with only 17k miles.
I got my wheels powdercoated hyperblack for basically the same cost as buying 1 new 189 sport wheel from BMW. I think they came out AWESOME! After taking care of that I ditched the garbage runflat tires and replaced them with 235/40 & 265/35 Nitto 555 (triple-nickels for you southerners). These tires are much smoother riding and have great traction in the dry, wet and corners --- should last twice as long too. Whole set was $600 on discount tire direct. Next to get fixed was the suspension --- I dont need anything too low and I've had a 335i before and loved the ride of the sport springs, so I got a set of used sport springs online and then bought the Bilsteins to compliment them. Man this car rides, handles and feels great on the road now --- this is how it should come from the factory! Bilsteins ride smoother and much tighter in corners. Here are the results of my subtle mods --- I like the OEM-ish look:

NY roads suck, you found that out the hard way as may other BMW NYers have. Your wheels look fantastic though.
Congrats!!

I'm up in Rochester until the end of May . . . now I figured out why BMW engineered the 3 to have such good handling - to avoid potholes. But seriously, some roads it must look like I'm doing a slalom.
