I see. The girl I'm dating used to live over on Costero aisle, but recently moved, so I was there all summer. Guest parking there is a bitch! Didn't know you were so close haha.. never saw your car there!

tinting windows

where and how did you get your windows tinted? I got mine with 35% on the sides and 20% on the rear. However, there's bubbles on the upper portion of the rear window. Yours seem to be clean and nice. Can you help me out here? I also have E92 black like yours. Enlight me~!

Mine are tinted 35% all around. It was just regular tint, nothing too fancy, but the shop I got it done at was very capable, so the dot matrix (upper portion of the rear window you are referring to) came out OKAY. It wasn't perfect, but there weren't that many tiny bubbles as I've seen on other cars. My solution? Roof spoiler to cover them up.

First and foremost; congrats on COTM! It really makes me smile seeing another Monaco Blue holdin it down; I just got my 07 Monaco/ cream 2 weeks ago and my mod list is slowly growing but since you have done some great work in collab with others i had a few questions:

right now i am thinking about painting my style 187 rims matte white w/ matt white front kidney grilles, mirror covers, and possibly the mesh within the front air dams but i am still a little nervous. What you think? too much white? should i opt for keeping the air dam stuff matte black? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks! Style 187 wheels are a pretty rare sight on this forum... had to look them up. Your plans for the car are definitely unique; I don't think I've heard of anyone wanting to go matte white like that. I personally think that keeping the grilles and mesh black is a classy yet sporty look. Obviously there'd be no point in painting the mirror covers black, since it would blend in too much.

I think that having all of it white would be too much... so maybe you should try it out with photoshop first. If you don't know how, then post up some high resolution photos of your car in another thread and ask fellow members to lend you a hand. I can give a half-ass attempt myself. I have not yet seen white wheels on a dark blue car. White wheels seem to be hit or miss with some cars on this forum, depending on other mods the car has.

Lastly, I'm sure matte white would be a pain in the ass to keep clean, but I'm sure you already know that. You should share your idea with others to get more opinions (but knowing people on e90post.. I don't think it'll be well received. Don't take it personally though). Good luck!

congrats on cotm. Nice to see another monaco blue out there, and shadowline trim goes quite well with the car.

Congrats on the COTM, such a beautiful car. I have an m-tech as well and have contemplated on the front lip, roof spoiler and the performance spoiler for awhile. Wish I lived in the US so I can throw on the lip but definitely thinking of your rear setup.

thanks! I've been through chrome, matte black, and gloss black. stuck with the gloss because it was the best looking in my opinion.

thanks! I'm getting tired of the all beige interior though so I've been looking into doing the same thing that you did with your interior. As you can see, I already have some black bits but I'm still working on it!

Can be done, as we discussed, just a little more involved (more custom work needed) in the E92 than the E93.

But...the outside...
