You can shed tears that they've gone,

Or you can smile because they have lived

You can close your eyes and pray they'll come back,
Or you can open you eyes and see all they have left you

Your heart can be empty because you can't see them,
Or your heart can be full of the love you've shared.

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday

You can remember them and only that they've gone
Or you can cherish their memory and let it live on

You can cry and close your mind,
Be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what they'd want; Smile, open your eyes, love and journey on

I'm ever so sorry to hear of your loss. I too have lost a loved one to cancer and understand to some degree the pain and hurt you are going through but as someone has rightly pointed out, it only gets better with time. I had to read your post several times to actually digest what I was reading ... It's so sad and I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Although we are strangers, humanity is with us and we are all here for you during the hard time.

I hope you recover well and quickly. Donation is on the way.

Best of luck.

Sam

Yup, what everyone else has said, horrible horrible thing to happen to a family, kind of made worse being so close to Christmas, and especially so being only age 28.

I'm sure in time you'll be able to look back and remember all the good times and remember Sarah for all the good that she was without too much pain.

Donation will be made very soon.

All the best to you and your family.

Oh, ChaserPlus, that reading was read at a recent funeral I attended, it's a lovely reading and always gets a tear in the eye.

I would prefer to know it is going towards something good rather than being a memento for me.
Perhaps we could auction it here? Maybe get some other bits and pieces together?

Sarah has just been 'pinged' around my Twitter & Facebook. You never know, some people (like me) who don't have a nominated charity look for an reason to donate each month, so there might be a few extra quid in it.
