Port Injection Manifold Options

Hi All,

I have a 2011 335xi running PS2, but looking into the Pure 800 when available. I was thinking of getting PI and get that dialed in for my PS2 than move to Pure800. It is added cost but is the plan i have for the near future. I have read quite a bit about the different methods of PI plate vs new manifold and leaning towards a new manifold. However, I do a few HPDE events a year and wanted to see if anyone has seen a significant impact with IAT using the EOS, Phoenix, BMP or any other similar manifold. Also, if anyone knows which manifold seems to have the best overall fitment.

I do plan on running full e85 with the PI setup as I am in Southern Cal and there are several e85 stations around my area.

Those are easy questions to answer. EOS hands down. Others are cheaper but you get what you pay for.
- EOS is made in USA and others are straight from China (Baokang Auto Parts on Alibaba)
- EOS comes with a phenolic spacer as standard, others don't.
- EOS comes with OE quality extended studs, others come with short bolts.

I don't have any personal experience but as he said above, if I decide to add PI, I'll go with EOS. I'd love to stay DI only but I'm iffy on the overdrive options

Thanks for the feedback! EOS was what I was looking at but came across many post where most people wit the upgraded intakes were were running the Phoenix manifold and but 1 running the EOS brand, so was wondering if that was just due to price or if there was another reason I may have missed.

I was looking at overdrive options too but my shop noted a few things such as the increased noise which I didn’t like.

I have been avoiding PI for some time but decided to give it a go.

I got a full manifold for my N54 from Precision Raceworks (Black Market Parts).

It won't win awards for aesthetics against the EOS but it works for me.

Also, I am not sure where it's made, it would be nice if it was US made though.

https://www.precisionraceworks.com/b...-location.aspx

Regardless, at $650 it was a nice piece, works and looks good.

I have a plate style, and while it does the trick, I think the full manifold might be a little nicer and easier to work with. Then again the plate is not bad as long as you have the longer manifold studs.
