so wolfgang metal sealant seems legit.
I'm at least a half dozen washes in without any signs of oxidation, and I even drove them on salt covered roads last week after the freak 3 inches of snow we received.

I think if I toss another coat of it on regularly, I avoid all the polishing.

just a quick wash and then wipe dry.
10/10 for metal sealant.

so I put another coat of sealant on them after a wash yesterday. So far it's holding up pretty well. The only issues are water spots. not a whole lot to be done about that.

for some reason the top of the wheel looks satin, but it's shiny enough to see yourself in. Phone camera doesn't really like looking at the polished bit straight on. I think it messes with the focus.

I remember reading this when I was looking into doing my 71s, decided to full send it and have mine custom built to 3 piece wheels because I wanted more of a stance look!

wheels are still great.

fk510 tires have gotten very noisy as we near the end of life.
I haven't really kept track very well, but probably 20K miles on these tires.
Some inner edge wear, but for the most part they wore OK. About 1/16 of difference from inner to outer tread. 1/16th from the wear bars on the inside right now. The fronts are not worn as badly as the rears.
They have been very noisy for 5K miles.
very pavement dependent.

I may try another tire next spring, I may go with these again. They were sublime for the price point for the first 15K.

who knew you'd only get two years out of soft tires in a staggered setup you never rotate?

just kidding, I knew.

I need to get some touch up paint to fix some chips before the big paint correction. . .
