Guys, keep in mind the stock thermostat doesn't open until like 220 - 230F so your aux oil cooler cannot be doing a thing if your oil temps are 205F. This is not my opinion, but a fact.

Here is my z06 after an hour of driving in 90 degree heat. Then again it's not running oil through turbo's and it has a dry sump with over 10 quarts of oil. |

Very old thread! In case anyone hasn't seen it, there is a low temp thermostat option that will allow proper warmup but keep your oil temps quite a bit lower: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1138235

Photos of setup-
View post on imgur.com The main difference is I used a mishimoto banjo fitting (m20x1.5 to -10AN) on top of the oil thermostat rather than drilling out and welding the stock plugs. Used a setrab 625 and line and fittings from ANfittingsdirect.com. All in all, about $360.

I think you better run the oilcoolers in series , rather then the paraallel setup shown here.
Running parallel might lower your oil pressure... Also i would use a Thermostat delete plate and get an aftermarket thermostat for the desired oil temperature. that way the car still warms up nicely, rather then taking ages to warm. just my 2 cents |

How did you install the hoses onto the top of the oem oil cooler I know you can take the two hex screws out but is there a simple adaptor you can screw into the removed hex screws that will fit the aftermarket hoses?
