I never said that I get maxed fuel trims with the flash, I sent my DME off to get flashed to get rid of the maxed fuel trims. Not sure why you went that direction.

I love how you are attempting to come off so knowledgeable and make these huge assumptions without knowing a single fact about how my car is running. My car is running poorly or unhappy? Nope. I log my car all the time, the motor is completely happy running the maps I am. Zero timing drops and good AFR's, just maxing fuel trims in spots which again is a product of having an unlucky DME version that doesn't have the average fuel trim ceiling.
I think you misunderstood my intentions. I said IF you were still maxing trims after you flash the DME then maybe consider a new LPFP. I never said you had a flash already. I am not attacking you, so there is no need to take my suggestions personally. I am also sure you realize when Shiv posts dyno charts he is marketing a product. If you were to call and speak to him or search his posts regarding excessive back pressure from running high boost without downpipes, you would see he recommends against it. Sure it works, but at the cost of your turbo seals eventually. As I said before, it's your car so do with it what you like.

OP try to upload the old 7-29 auto tuning maps and do a log to see if you are still maxing the fuel trims. Personally I think there are some fueling issues with the Aggressive maps. I am having issues with them as well except I am running way too rich. I highly doubt it's your hardware. When I contacted Vishnu they blamed hardware for my issues without any other suggestions. I do like the product, but their support leaves much to be desired.

Agreed...

the only maps I have access to are on:

http://www.procedetuning.com/BMW/n54...downloads.html

And they have the 7/29 autotuning and the 9/10 aggressive maps... are the 7/29 ones okay?

7-29 autotuning are on there above the 9-10 Aggressive maps

EDIT: yes the 7-29 ones will be good to try. After uploading the new firmware and maps, reset the adaptations and do a few logs. Those maps have autotuning enabled so it may take about 3 pulls for the tune to make adjustments.

I never did try the 7-29 maps and I wish I would have just to get a better feel for what was going on.

My DME will be back to me in about a week so I'm hoping that fixes everything. I got the 50/50 E85 flash, but I was told that using the 9-10 aggressive maps with that flash would be fine as well.

Same deal with the 7-29 maps, just went and tried it. Fuel trims hard maxed. AFR's in the 15's-16's.

Going to go by Cobb tomorrow (if they're open) and pick up an AccessPort, and if that solves the issue, I will just keep it and sell my non vin-locked Procede to folks who don't have this DME issue.

you definetely need to try another tune. also if you had hardware issues that big you would get codes as well removing the procede completely. Thats what i would do first...

With the procede in map 0 the car runs fine. Although it runs fine in map1 at about 10-11psi also. So its no surprise that it runs fine @ 8psi.

Okay say it was hardware related, because when I was having fueling issues with the aggressive maps and switched back to the auto tuning 7/29 maps, my car ran perfectly fine.

When were your injectors last replaced? Your hpfp? Your lpfp? If you really do have an unlucky dme with a lower fuel ceiling, then the flash will solve it, but after reading how 7/29 maps didn't even work for you, it makes me think hardware as well

Injectors were replaced in 2010 under recall, hpfp about... 7 months ago? All 6 injectors were tested and 3 of them were replaced about 4 weeks ago. Car ran fine (@12-13psi stage 1) after injectors up until I installed FBO mods.

Im running 9-10 aggressive, stage 1, on a car with no mods (downpipes are shipping) and my logs show that i max at 16-17 PSI. Is this normal? Seems quite high. Im on stage 1, map 1 running 93 octane, btw.

Seriously considering switching to COBB or JB4. Vishnu customer service (as far as my tune goes) has been non-existent.

Try turning down the boost to see if it will decrease the max boost you see...I understand its running stage 1 but try and decrease the boost value in the user adjustables and see if it lowers your max boost

Ill give that a try tomoro. It just seems 16-17 PSI is way too much

I dunno I never ran the 9-10 maps until I got FBO. Before I updated I had the 4/23 map stage 1. I logged it a while back and it seemed like it was 13-14psi.

Installed Cobb stage 2 + FMIC today and car seems to run fine. 18psi and 12:1 afr in the midrange, going to high 11's past 5500 or so.

Guess I just had one of those DME's where the fuel trims are inadequate....

Do you know what version of the BMW software you were on? I think my problems started after I updated my DME.

Is that the IJ designations? I want to say IJEOS. I'd have to look again.

No, the integration level. For example, E89-12-03-502 corresponds to ISTA/P version 2.46.1.
