I think you've hit the nail on the head Viv.

Being among the first of what could be many given time, and being able to put names and faces to the usernames following the 1st meet makes it feel much more like a bunch of friends.

We'd all better make it to UK2 then before you go all Gordon on us again.

I'm still a 2nd left-tennant... whatever that is in real terms

Matt, I hope there are a lot of new faces at UK2, as well as all of the old ones.

Loooking at the increased number of threads in the UK section of the forum, it looks like there's a good lot of real e90 enthusiasts here, from the early members, who are now acting like the 'daddies', to the new members, who seem to enjoy giving as much as receiving!

I think a few of us had a few tears in our eyes at the end of UK1 , and I don't think it was even anything to do with the vindaloos!

I'm looking forward to UK2, to see the 'old boys' again, to say hi to the new 'toddlers', to have a good talk about our beloved cars, to have some good food, to plan UK3 & to pretty much have a good, enjoyable day with 'friends'.

I hope more turn up, because until you show up, you just don't know what you're missing.

I think I am safe to say everyone who attended UK1 had a damn fine day!

All the best.

Viv

PS- Gordon has told me he's on holiday, but if he returns back home to find members pulling out of UK2, then there will be an uncontrollable torrent of verbal abuse released from his mouth!

It is in indeed very friendly in here. I've mentioned E90post.com on BMWland, which may be why a few have come over - Rocketron springs to mind.

Unfortunately I will be on my holibobs for the UK2 meet.

ES-Jet, I read about your trip to the Ring on BMWland, it sounded awesome! Please can you let me know when you plan to go again, I would love to join you and perhaps take my 330i for a spin!

There will be a trip to the 'Ring next year, but I'm not sure whether I will be going. If I do, I might take my car, not to use on the track as I'd get the sack if I dinged it, but to get to some of the vantage points for photo opportunities.

Are there any pictures of the UK1 meet anywhere?

ES-Jet check out the photos from UK 1 here: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...t=6135&page=13

Hopefully you can come to UK3 when we organise it.

Yeah I might just spectate at the Ring too - not sure if I have the balls to drive my car round that track!

I think you'll be now known as 'Baby Ian', if that's ok with you, Ian!?

Back to the original topic, how do you post pictures on BMWland? I couldn't work it out. Any of the experienced members know? Cheers

Hey Beauforty - to insert an image on BMWland, click on the image icon (looks like mountain scenery with the sun in the background). Then copy and paste the link into the bar that comes up. (Similar to this site)

Yes, that's what I did too and it didn't work. I even uploaded the images to BMWland's images section first then copied and pasted the link after clicking the image button?

Not sure why that hasn't worked then.

All my 'Ring pictures were put on that way.

Maybe I'll have a word with Mystic Sport (mod)

ES-Jet, I noticed on BMWland in the very bottom right of the screen it lists your permissions. It says I cannot attach files, edit posts, delete posts etc. Do you know why?

I think you need to be a "site supporter" to edit posts etc but you should be able to post photos.
