Unhappy Where does it say "Nutter Magnet" on my car

Following on from the gits who lobbed a full can of lager at the car on the way back from UK2.

Tonight I almost managed to kill a young kid on a BMX who decided to spear across the main road from a side street despite the traffic on it. My ABS saved his life, and the horn scared the s*&t out of the pedestrians in the vicinity.

So what thanks do I get? A severely scratched up alloy from where his pedal hit it

... and did he apologise or bu^%er off down an alleyway? I'll let you guess.

Must be that magnetic personality of yours, Matt. Or maybe the vacuum between his ears was pulling him towards you.

Look at it this way Matt, be proud of yourself!!! 99% of the dimwits on our roads these days WOULD of killed him because they were too busy on the phone/talking to passengers/looking out for speed cameras whilst doing 31mph/not really giving a sh*t about other road users/picking their nose (please delete as applicable, or not as the case may be).

The fact is you were alert and able to carry out necessary avoidance maneuvers!

Although obviously it would of been nice to catch the little **** and get the alloy sorted!

Thanks guys, I've calmed down somewhat now.

I was only doing about 25 and was stopped by the time the little rat hit me. I couldn't believe that he wasn't even going to try and stop. I think it shook up the driver coming the other way more than me

It could have been worse. My Dad used to work with a really decent guy that flattened a kid in similar circumstances, nothing he could do to avoid it. He didn't drive a car again for something like 15 years.

I did pick up a full size alloy spare some years ago, so barring any further catastrophe that can go on when it's time to change and the space saver can come down off the garage wall.

But I had plans for that wheel as a coffe table

That's right - sounds like you did the right thing at the right time and probably saved the little rascal.

I seem to have days when every driver around me seems to pull out in front of me or almost crash into me.

It's like my car has become temporarily invisible.

HGV drivers seem to be the worst. It's amazing how often they completely fail to give way on roundabouts.

When I had my touring a little shit on a BMX bike shot out off an alley with his mobile pressed to his ear and slammed straight into my front wing putting a big dent in above the wheel arch and sending him rolling across the bonnet. I grabbed him while my mrs phoned the police, but he wriggled away. Other than sitting on him there wasn't a lot more I could have done without getting charged for assault as all his mates suddenley appeared out of the woodwork.

The police never turned up, said they didn't have the resources. They also said it would have been better if I done a proper job of injuring him during the accident!

Regards

Chris

Matt, just a thought but have you removed the huge Nutter Magnet from your car? Maybe that will help? I noticed it attached to your car at UK3...

Exactly - no harm done. I can understand your annoyance - I once ran into a 7 yr old lad in my 325i - Must have been doing 10-15mph and he stayed upright sliding across the road as it was wet!!! He wasn't bothered in the slightest (his Mum and brother were) - I was really shaken.

Thanks Paul. I actually removed it and put it on the front of your fridge, just before Viv started to take an interest in your seat settings.

I'm still looking for the sign on the front of both of my vehicles that says, "I don't mind if you jump in front of me."
