WOW some SWEET pics, Me and my cousin design boxes on the side and do installs, I need to do my bimmer yet. But I have to put my old set up in the FS section.
Its a carpeted bandpass with 4 8" Stillwater Kickers and a RF Amp that pushes 125 watts RMS into each sub. In my envoy I was hitting 139 Db's all day long.

Man, that is all I need I really miss my old system. I had the top of the line Alpine DVD deck, ADS 8 Channel 1000W RMS AMP, ADS components, 2 x 12" Kicker subs in my old G35. I paid 2K for the audiophile package in this car and I am disappointed as shit. It sounds like ass compared to an aftermarket. I do very much appreciate the trunk space now though. I like the setups above with just adding an amp and sub. Everything is quite concealed and takes away virtually no trunk space.

Has anybody bought the BSW sub system for E90?
Is it worth the money or any good? |

I run kenwoods and if it says 1000 watts it means around 800...or boss amps...if they say 1000 like 400... Quality is everything in car audio. I assume that the extra 1000/1 channel amp they have in there is running the door speakers and is some serious power. Those two tens would smush your 15. However, Kickers are the shit and if I had the money I would get kickers. I only have two 10 inch kenwoods but they are wired at 2 ohms and bump like crazy. It's all about the wiring and quality of the product.

I have a sundown 1500d and bl15 gathering dust in my garage. I installed it in my Corolla and the doors and trunk were all bulging out a centimeter. I'm hesitating on installing them because of the electrical it requires to run these monsters and also the weight(subwoofer is 65 pounds amp 15-20pounds + box another 30-40pounds) will change the drivability of my car. Its kinda anti-efficiency dynamics if you ask me. If I do decide to install, I will be sure to post pics!

my cousin as a truck with 2 jl 10s with a 1200 watt amp and they were good for being 10s. now a friend of his had 3 jl w7 13 and that was a lot of bass, but those 3 13 inch w7 couldn't compare with my brothers truck, which had 4 15 inch kickers

Kicker is easily the second best out there. Especially for the price. You can pick up 2 CVR12's new in the box on ebay for around 150. Whereas, you can also pick up 2 CVX12's also new in the box for like 250. The CVX's are crazy...pretty much a round L7...it has the same performance specs. A single JL w6 can barely be found for less than 300 bucks on ebay and it is less powerful than one CVX... Kicker makes awesome and I mean AWESOME amps too. especially their digital amps...amazing! I guess I didnt read your description thoroughly...thats my bad...thanks for being a good sport about it man.

Nothing against your systems or anything, but JL audio and Kicker are good brands, but no where near the best. There is just so much hype about JL audio and W7 because they are so well known. Sure a W7 has great sq and is pretty loud, but for the money there are alot of better companies that make much better sounding speakers, amps, and subs. Look at RE audio, Fi audio, DC audio, morel audio, diamond audio, zapco, digital designs, hertz, focal, or critical mass. All of these are great brands that any audiophile will be able to tell you great things about. A kicker is great for the money though, but for a hundred dollars or so more, i can custom build an Fi audio BTl 18 that will handle 5000 watts rms of power all day and have 3" of excursion with no distortion, or for the same price of a w7, get an RE audio xxx which has much better sq and gets twice as much excursion.
