Rusty Rims !!!! How To Removed On Aluminum Wheels??

Can anyone help me remove rust that got left on wheels over winter and rims are now '' pitted'' with rust and won't come off with rim cleaner and medium bristle brush. I know their are rust removers but they're too caustic and would eat at the aluminum

I am hopin there are some pro detailers with some tricks of the trade to remove rust from my wheels??? thanks any help is appreciated

Are there any painted areas? An old school trick "grew up around classic car and hot rod shows with my family" is, if it's not pitted too bad you can use aluminum foil "ball it up" for abrasion and an aluminum wheel cleaner for lubrication, then rinse and dry. It actually does a decent job of keeping them shiny between polishings.
