VANOS/INPA evaluation (have a look if you've done it)

I'm trying to decide if I have fouled up VANOS valves - I've got a bad hesitation around 2k RPM that I thought was due to a (verified broken) DISA valve, but replacing the valve didn't fix the issue.

I fired up INPA to watch the VANOS operation while doing some "pulls" in the driveway. I held the brake and revved up, so hopefully there was at least a bit of power. The solenoids DO seem to move around a bit, and DO seem to be very responsive, but I don't really know what I'm looking for. Do these look like they're properly functioning to you?
