a 330d wagon would most likely fit the bill.

Here is the updates on the repairs done on 330d.

Drop in on Tueday and should finally get it back today. Got a 320i lci instead which is still a very nice car to drive around i might add. They fix up the glove box, rear hand rail and change over the trim for me already on Tuesday but I think they didn't know how to fix the corning light fault.

So intead of tearing the car apart and changing ove the head light that is probably not the cause, BMW Australia told them to install and upgrade the electronic software.

HUmmm???? I thought this was a new car so how come they are already upgrading a the software for a car that is 2 weeks old???

Anyway, i will be picking it up this lunch time so fingers crossed that it is all good.

You won't go wrong. The sedan is quite small in back and we were struggling to put the pram in the back. Luck we manage to squeeze in on a angle so that it fits.

Wagon might have been a better option with kids.

Looks great, how do you like the engine? A 330d is my dreamengine, to bad it's so expensive here in Norway.

Hey Samchuang, can you get ABC digital stations on your TV? I can get every other digital and analogue station but only can get analogue ABC. I have even tried scanning in clear view of the ABC tower on Mt Cootha but can't get it.

^ like to hear the response to that one too... I have the old idrive, but have trouble getting a few channels.. namely ABC2 and One HD/SD. I've tried scanning in a few different locations but it doesn't make any difference. I'll probably ask the dealer to look at it under warranty soon unless there's a simple fix.

Unfortunately the 330d Touring isn't available in Australia, however there has been a white 330d Touring (2007) one on carsales.com.au for a while that was imported...

In fact having a look at the 3 series Touring range, the 320d doesn't even get a guernsey you would have thought that diesel would rule the day in this segment...

As for the sedan - prams suitable for newborns are difficult to get through the small aperture of the boot opening, and I found that a child seat only fits on passenger side of rear (for a tall 6 foot 2 driver) and only if you have a short partner...

After getting the car back from dealership for almost 1 week, the corning fault light came back on again. The front passenger glove box also is not adjusted. I still need to wack it in hard to get it to close.

I was told by service advisor that the electronics of in whole car was re-installed again so technically it was not an update becasue it is the same program that is already in the car. The just re-installed the program again. kinda like reinstalling Window xp when it start playing up. I guess it is back to the dealership again.

Ok. Got the car back yesterday after it spend almost a week there getting this cornering light issue fixed. The dealership or BMW Australia had no idea what was the cause. After a few days of relaying information between themselves, they think that some of the vehicles parts or accessories might not have been fully coded into the car. So what they did was they, re-coded and installed everything again. Hopefully this will be the last I ever see this problem again.

Glove box require new latch that will come from Germany. So that won't get fix in a flash. I guess I just need to wack it harder to close it.
