It would behave just like the remote map switcher. You decide, in the software, what map # you want the PROcede to default to upon start-up. And then you double-click the button to cycle through maps. We'd probably add another map or two in there now that we offer in-dash map # confirmation. Having more than a couple of maps without some sort of visual confirmation would have been silly.

This idea sucks. How about this:

1. Honk the horn 3 times, within 5 seconds. Drivers door must be open, sunroof raised.

2. Figure out which map you want. Lets say 2. Muliply by 35, subtract 3. You get 67. Set PASSENGERS side climate control to this number.

3. Turn on max a/c for 2.2 seconds.

4. Gas pedal to the floor. Brake pedal to the floor. Gas, gas, brake, brake, gas, brake, steering wheel up arrow, down arrow horn.

That's it!

using the mirror buttons or the powerseat buttons:

up, up
down, down
left right, left right
B (brake) A (accelerate) B, A
Start

This gives you 30 additional maps

Shiv,

I tried to look through the posts but did not find an answer to the following question:

Can the Procede now do everything the non-pro version of the Bav Tech scanner can do?

Thanks for any info.

nice!!! shiv... are you planning on integrating rixter's boost guage with your boost on dash display feature? or you will come up with actual boost sensor package that will work with your on dash boost display feature?

Hopefully its a standalone and doesn't rely on the Rixter gauge.

In basic functionality, the PROcede and BT tool is similar in that they both read, display and clear DME codes. And within the next few days, the PROcede will also be able to datalog engine variables such as spark advance, temps, throttle angle, etc,. I don't think we are, or will have the need to, make the PROcede log all 200+ diagnostic available channels. So in that respect, the BT tool is more functional in the diagnostic realm. At least for the time being.

However, what the PROcede does do is take all this information and integrate it into the actual tune which, imho, is the fun part Right now, we are just using a couple new data channels for the tune. But with every map update from this point on, we are getting more and more integrated. Which means the car will not only make great power but also do it safely and consistently.

Cheers,
Shiv

I doubt Shiv would want to use the same procedure as JB.

It would be awesome to have a fuel economy map. Not that I really care about fuel economy, but still a nice to have thing.

All the PROcede maps incorporate leaner AFR targets and timing advance during 2500-4000rpm cruise/light load conditions. So if you drive casually, you will enjoy a measurable improvement in fuel economy compared to that of a stock car. Many have seen over 40mpg during 55-60mph cruise.

Well, I haven't noticed it. Actually, I've noticed a slightly higher fuel consuption.

I expereinced improved fuel economy for the first ~50 miles. Now my car seems to be back to the same consumption it had before this was implemented. May this be an effect of the car offsetting the timing advance?

2500-4000rpm? damn...when i cruise at 55-60 i believe its at like 2100 or something. so maybe thats why i didn't notice a measureable amount? maybe the next few days i'll drive without any WOT runs and report back :-)

Same kind of feeling here. My initial fuel economy seemed better than what's it's been lately. Still better than stock, but I'm no where near 40 mpg. I'm over 30, but 40 mpg sustained doesn't seem too realistic
