i-drive retrofit - options to power controller?

I picked up a 2011 328i parts car with i-drive and combox. All parts including the dash are going into my 06 325i that does not have i-drive. I was able to remove all the needed wiring except for the power for the controller. I have the screen wiring all the way to the JBE. What is the best way to find the correct power source for the controller? The pdf says junction at x9331 located in the driver’s side footwell or Pin #3 of connector x11003 at the back of the fuse box/JBE. Are there any other options that are simpler? Some have mentioned just hooking to the power connector on the back of the CIC wiring.

This will be my 2nd cic retrofit. The first was a CCC to CIC in my E70 so all the wiring was already in place for that one. For my E90, having the parts car for the wiring has been a huge help. I even got the GPS and Sirius wiring to the shark fin.
