Hi guys, I'm new to the BMW family and new to this site. I have a 2011 BMW 328i xDrive and am looking to get an aftermarket head unit put in. I looked at Eonon units for the most part and found out that those specific units don't function with xDrive. So I'm trying to find suggestions for head units that function with an xDrive car. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know! Also, if this has already been discussed somewhere, my apologies, but I couldn't find anything on it. Thanks guys!

What about them doesn't function with 4 wheel drive or did
you mean idrive? (I think you are confused)
If you have idrive the BMW navigation system and Logic 7
there is nothing easy or cheap you can do.

If you put a double din aftermarket unit in then you have a dead middle
display and no idrive. No aftermarket Head Unit will will work with
the Logic 7 amp. (accept dynavin and you can't use it for idrive cars) Additionally BMW will not be able to run diagnostics, replace and program hardware or do software updates without the original head
unit installed or parallel mounted.

What are you trying to accomplish better sound or features or both?

Thanks for your reply! I asked Eonon if there systems would work with xDrive and they replied saying they don't work with iDrive. I think there was some confusion on my part. As I said earlier, I'm new to the BMW family. I think I still have a bit to learn! Thanks again!

xdrive = all wheel drive
idrive = infotainment system (screen above your climate control/radio)

Right. I am familiar with what both of those are. But I had seen a couple posts where people said something about radios not working with xDrive. I think they mistyped, and since I'm new, it threw me off. All good now. Thanks!
