Unhappy God Dang F@CKING Crap !!! What next ???

Well, I recently had my car in the shop for a HPFP and a service check was done. Picked it up Tuesday evening, very next day, get another service warning. The microfilter needs replaced, no biggie but a pain in the ass to take back to dealer just for that.

Moving along to today, at lunch I get in the car and all hell breaks loose. The I-Drive screen say Frt & RR brake pads need replaced contact your dealer soon. The brake light on the dash stays on, and when I shut the car off it shows the car on a lift.

I know its all covered under the warranty contract, but damit, I was just there and without my car for 4 days and know this. Why couldn't they have checked this shit out while it was there. It said service do, and they said they looked the car over.
i made an appointment for the 15th to drop off and pick up loaner.

btw, car has 29,500 miles on it. Does this seem too early for pads being worn out. I didn't own it all those miles. The wife had it first and put around 18k on it.

Now this morning I get in to move it, and the damn Low Coolant sign came on.

Whys this shit happening, i'm about to un-load it and get something else. I really like the car, but damit, is this the kinda crap that going to happen again @ 60k, if so, it will be out of warranty and those repairs could get expensive.

The only thing I can figure is, they saw I was from chambersburg, PA and checked through my post and saw that I bought the car at sunmotors. They could have called dealer and had them look through the recent HPFP replacements.

Hell, I don't know, but I will call them tomorrow and talk with them. My car is in the shop now, not sure if they are going to replace the pads though. I checked them out Sat. and they looked fine.

I did notice when I dropped it off tonight, it also listed on my sheet to change the oil & filter. Now, I argued with them last time about this. My car says its not due for another 12k. I told them everything got reset back when I got the dreaded 29.2 flash. They would not change it 3 weeks ago. I don't think I put 12k miles on it that quick.

It was changed @ 17k, and its got @ 30k now. That was why I was telling them it needed changed. I even called BMWNA and they said the car will notify them when it needs changed. I will see tomorrow if my wishes were granted.

Just tell your dealer to do a check on the entire car and make sure to top all fluids off. I guess your dealership doesn't do that but should. Every car is going to need these things replaced, I wouldn't get rid of a car because of it.

A few weeks ago I changed the oil in my sister's car. While rotating the tires I noticed the rear pads needed to be changed so I went got the pads and changed them along with the air and cabin filters.

Well, they did NOT change the pads. The SA said it was a glitch in the onboard system. They did put in a new cabin filter, and they fixed all the maint. menus to read correct. Which I have no clue, he said they didn't update the computer though.

The weather is pretty nasty, so I decided to leave my car @ the dealership and take advantage of the 335xi they gave me as a loaner. I am very impressed with the xi, had no problems at all, I even pushed it when nobody was around and it really went good.

hey! i just got the same service check that you had!
the one on the car w/ the lift.

i looked in the manual and it says its either a brake light malfunction or a fuel consumption malfunction or brake pads.
so i thought to myself that it cant be my brake pads cus i just went to service w/ them at 26k miles, then i thought it might be my brake lights, maybe my blacklines are causing a malfunction but they all work fine.

now my cars at 29k i cant find the source to the service problem. does anyone have a suggestion before i go to the dealers?

BMW calling you has to be the creepiest thing I've heard of on a website not called myspace.
