You know they can come to you, right? They're in north county, but can go all over SD. Just call or email about their availability. I need them to fill a new rock chip in my windshield soon. Damn soft BMW glass!

Welcome Andy & Glando7! Feel free to ask in here if you guys need help or recommendations for anything. SD chatters know a lot of great people in various areas of the car industry.

Yea, he told me he's not local anymore. I don't know much about coding stuff, but aren't there threads in the coding section with the files? Maybe ask for help there. People seem pretty helpful there. Jeef might be able to help as well.

Codinge90, have you checked junk yards? It's a long shot, too, but worth a try.

I wouldn't recommend getting the wheels re-drilled, but I'm no wheel expert so maybe others can chime in...

Thanks Jeef. I'm not really sure if I want to go this route either, but I have some work wheels just sitting there and was just trying to look at options.

So I've been shopping around to find a place well-versed in wheel tires and suspension for our platform. I have a set of BC coils I need installed along with wheels n tires mounted and balanced.

any suggestions?

I've gotten 3 quotes for just the CoilOvers installed with alignment ranging from $300 on up to $900.

thanks

Try Euro Auto Spot in Miramar. (858) 635-9063. They aren't the cheapest, but they're one of the best shops in SD. For alignment, I use Align-Tech in Escondido. (760) 738-4848. They specialize in BMWs/Euros and dial it in perfectly every time. You'll get a $20 referral discount if you mention Cristai with the Space Gray 335i. You might want to wait on alignment until your coilovers settle, or else you'll burn through tires hella fast. Trust me, I know and now I know better haha. My rears were done after 7k miles bc I didn't know back then that I needed to let the springs settle, then align.

Does align tech do corner balancing or just alignments?

Thanks!

I think they do, but I'm not 100% on that. Call and ask. They're very friendly and helpful. They do auto repair as well, but I've gone to the same Indy for over 15 yrs.

Jeef, can you recommend decent coilover options under $1k (used/not abused is fine) for E92 335i? I just have H&R sport springs. I'm happy with handling and ride comfort, but I need them about ½" higher. My clearance is ridiculous.

I see a lot of ST suspension floating around. If you are lucky you can find a KW V2 for around 1K.

Thanks much! I've been researching a bit on ST recently. They seem pretty decent for the price. Back when I first bought my car, KW V2 was everyone's go-to. Which is better quality between those 2 IYHO?

Anyone else with either of those can feel free to answer as well. Lmk your preference and why.

I have ST coilovers and have been happy with them. They are great for the price. KW is great but more expensive. I do not track my car but I do go on mountain runs often enough. For what I use my car for, ST's are enough.

Try Chapparone Auto Body. They work on a lot of exotics and are very well known. They're the best! I'm not sure of your price range, but I believe they're around $350-450 per bumper. Be careful with shops that charge less bc you really get what you pay for. I've seen some horrible paint work from cheap shops that chips within a few months.

ST and KW are pretty much the same coils, just KW uses stainless steel where as ST uses galvanized steel shock bodies. ST is a good alternative if your car does not ever see salty roads/conditions that would cause them to rust.

I personally have KW V2 because of the adjustable rebound and peace of mind that they will not rust. ST only offers V1 which does not have adjustable dampening.
