Do I have angel eyes? [PIC]

I just got this car. 2009 328i. I can't seem to find a way to turn these on if they are turned off by chance. They don't seem to light up on any setting on the dial. I also tried looking threw settings in the instrument cluster (But I admit I don't really understand if I am looking in the right place there.) Maybe I just have the rings in the lights and a "light package" when first purchasing the car would have added the rest of the pieces to have angel eyes working?

As far as I know all E9X models came with angel eyes, whether it was the basic halogens (what you have) or the HIDs, more than likely the bulbs are burned out, if you don't have iDrive there is an option through the cluster to activate the halo rings you can check how to activate the daytime running lights on this video.

If your running lights are already on then you will need to replace the bulbs.

This video shows you how to replace the angel eye bulbs.

DoJu3 thank you very much for the reply. I have come to find out that mine are both burnt out so your links are very helpful!

Yes these are halogen headlights and they do have angel eyes. They should turn on when the headlights turn on as well. If they don't then the first place to check is the bulb to see if its faulty. The video liked above is accurate for the 06-08 models, but the back of your headlight looks a bit different. On our website we have the install guide for the LUX E90 LCI Halogen V3 and that shows were the angel eye bulb is located. I would recommend checking the bulb first to see if it works

Best to replace with a LED upgrade at this point. The stock lights are brown and dull anyway.

Ya that is my plan. I'm trying to go for the cheapest ones that are still relatively good quality. I don't care about how bright they are but I am definitely wanting to get them working and also avoid the yellow look.

Plenty of good options in the vendor section.
