Speedventures finally posted the results from Auto Club Speedway. Looks like my best was 2:03.7 on Sunday. They're going to let me run in blue or black groups finally, so I'm not stuck all the time behind traffic.

Wow, is that with stock tires?

My best was 2:01.2 with Hoosiers....and I know I can get under 2 minutes! I liked the blue group, especially when we spread out. I still can't believe that a GT3 can just barely pull me on the straight! Should walk away from me, no?

I ran with street tires on Saturday...during my last session on Saturday, my runflat exploded. So I ran the Pilot Sport Cups (my autox tires) on Sunday.

I think the Runflat got damaged exiting turn 7/8... on the exit if you put a wheel off, there's like a dirt pot hole then abrupt rise onto asphalt that can damage a tire/wheel. Runflats with its super stiff sidewall probably didn't like that very much... regular tires with softer sidewalls probably take those things better than runflats.

was that the run group with paul walker? The "Andy Lin" group?

After I changed my wheels from corner to corner, my hands were dirty. I walked in the mens room to wash them and there he was toweling off. I never knew there was a shower there. Or than anyone used it.

It was. He's a friend of ours and he is driving the white R34 Skyline in the pictures.

Good thing it didn't fail in Turn 1. Lot of Limp modes that day too. I had 2, neither were from overheating as I never went over 290. The funny one was some sorta of braking malfunction: "avoid hard braking" haha how do you do that? Restart and it went away.

Hopefully you weren't having the same wastegate sticking that I had.
