As a wildlife and bird shooter, I would be very interested in a high performance APS-C body. I would probably get more use out of that than the hi res of the R-IV, which I plan to use mostly in crop mode to begin with.

Norris Geyser Basin

Thanks BayAreaBimmers for directing me to this thread. So many great photos to view.

Here's one of mine from last week's long drive to Norris Geyser Basin at Yellowstone National Park.

You got it — figured, after seeing some of your G05 shots and the fact you'd said most pictures weren't of your car, you'd enjoy it here

Australian SailGP race sailboat blasts by Queen Mary 2. The Cowes Regatta is this week. I think this is the first season of SailGP, racing 50' spec racers, with hydrofoil technology. This specific boat broke a new speed record last Saturday, clocking a 50.22-knot record. I would estimate that it's cruising in excess of 40-mph in this image:

Can't wait to see your report. I'll probably order a IV after the RAW conversion program is available for DxO (I hate Phase I). The big worry is the AF speed. Come to think of it, I'll probably wait to see what happens with the a9II. If they up the resolution a bit, keep 20-fps and improve AF, that'll be a no brainier for me.

Taken from 20 feet away. 1800 pixel selection out of the full 6000X4000 original. I'll be curious what the RIV could do here at well over twice the resolution.

ED, I think that the 200-600mm past its test, with flying colors.

I'm on a cruise right now, but hope to have my 600/f4, when I get home on Monday. Pretty excited.

Daimler sports car. I don't know much about this marque. It sounded like it had either a six or a small eight.

Gangster police

The question of why a sheriff truck would be on bags aside, think the front wheel shadow might need a little help coming more forward — right now it looks like it's turned out slightly because I think the shadow was unchanged from its original ride height. Think with the camber it'd have, it would look slightly different.
