I would say that the lean conditions are triggered by bad firing in cylinder 1 and fuel is cut off for bank 1. So change in fueling is a result but not the cause of the problem. Your STFTs do not indicate fueling problems. What are the spark plugs and gaps on them?

They're NGK 95770 with a 0.022" gap

Again today on higher rpm, full boost and sudden 30FF, Reset it and everything back ok, full boost pressure in midrange. Reflashed to stage 2+ V7.1 98RON and no problems at all, full power and boost until redline...

Is it possible to be a boost solenoid problem not being able to hold the higer boost target in high RPM with the 102RON map (17-18psi) and with a V7 98 Ron map only targetting 14-15 psi?

Datazap log from the 30FF run:

https://datazap.me/u/jerain/stage-2-...14-15-22-26-29

MHD Tuning
Well, I'm going to quote my own post on this! So I fixed the 30FF, car is pulling harder and stronger than ever! One vacuum line behind the oilfilter housing was brittle and had a small crack. That same line on the other side of the engine on the bottom from the canister was worn badly.

I saw some oil+grease coming from the side of the turning lock from the front diverter valve, just cleaned it on the inside and the O-ring.

And last but not least changed the boost solenoids to the new spec Pierburg ones. Car is even more aggressive with boost, always spot on boost target now unlike before mostly 1-2 psi down on target and GONE is that 30FF code.

Also did the Z4 35is airbox lid and my wgdc values are on average about 10%+ lower for the same amount of boost...

SO EVERYONE WHO IS NOT ALWAYS REACHING BOOST TARGET OR HAS 30FF: LOOK FOR VACUUM LINE CRACKS, LOOK FOR CHARGEPIPE LEAKS AND CHANGE THE BOOST SOLENOIDS!

2-4th
https://datazap.me/u/jerain/mhd-stag...og=0&data=3-20

The V8 map also feels more driveable in comparison with the V7, especially on light throttle. Virtual dyno's on this map with smoothing 5 shows average 420 WHP, I'm happy with that!

Keep up the good work MHD Tuning

Hi! I have a 1m, with in drop in filter, VRSF CP with Tial Bov, fuel it stg 2 and ctls DP installed last week. RunningMHD stage 2 95oct, and brasilian premium gas, that has e25 and 97 oct from the pump. New coils and ngk new spark plugs, gapped to n54.
I had done 2 logs today, and they show exactly what I fell in the car: Shure it's Much better than stock, V8 has an incredible driveability, but it's missing a little power.
Here are the logs, reaching 15,5 psi, witch is less than I think it should reach, but it's what the DME it's targeting.
My question: what's better: run stage 2+ and keep an eye on the IAT or buy the E30 package, and run stg 2 with E30 (and put a little more E on the tank to reach the E30)?

What are the differences between those 2 ?

Thanks

29dc cylinder injection cutout

Hey guys

Just recently went fbo with mhd stage 2+ on my 08 335i, but i´ve been having some problems with some of the WOT pullls i´ve done, Been getiing the 29dc cylinder injection cutout code a few times. Anything other than WOT no problems.. No codes when cruising or rough idle.
Changed to brand new ngk´s gapped at .022 and brand new coils after fbo install.

I´ve read alot about the potetial causes for this code on varies forums but i cant seem to find a smoking gun, reed that it could be a few different things causing the issue.. Carbon build up etc

Did a couple of pulls today, on the first one i did a 2.gear pull and caugt the little bastard throwing the code while i was logging.
Deleted the code and went out and did two more pulls from about 2500rpm in 3.gear - and a couple of seconds into 4.gear - No codes this time..

But studying the datas after i can tell that something is going on with the lpfp psi. It dips well into the 40s and the hpfp psi then obviesly follows down low. The lpfp psi also seems to be quite high sometimes when not in WOT.
There is a few other parameters in the logs that also look a bit shady

Im leaning strongly towards a faulty lpfp, but i`ve ordered a low pressure sensor just to rule that out before buying a new lpfp.

Do you guys have any other suggestions to what the problem could be?

Hope some of you with a bit more experience than me could look at these logs..
Did a rookie and missed 4th in the second log..

The three logs im referring to:

https://datazap.me/u/hoff/log-153995...og=0&data=3-20

https://datazap.me/u/hoff/log-153995...og=1&data=3-20

https://datazap.me/u/hoff/log-153995...og=2&data=3-20

I would really appreciate some help/ guideance

Thanks!

Yeah your LPFP is definitely on the way out. Ideally you don't want to see it dip below 60-65 while doing a pull. Probably time to look into a stage 2 lpfp.

Yeah, i was thinking about a stage 2 lpfp aswell, only bad thing i read about them is that they can cause strain on the EKP module because it pulls higher current ( Fuel it.com own words ) And since im only MHD stage 2 + would a new oem not do the trick?

Not planning of putting more power into the car anytime soon as i just went to this stage a couple of weeks ago.

Im running the 98/95 pump fuel map btw, no e85 here in Denmark.

Thanks for your respons!

Hello all. I've been fighting hard misfires through 3000-4000 rpm at WOT for nearly a year and since the weather became cold, the problem has become very pronounced. There isn't a single run through 3rd, 4th, or 5th where the car doesnt experience these very hard misfires. Any help would be appreciated.

https://datazap.me/u/335iv8bait/log-...og=0&data=3-22
https://datazap.me/u/335iv8bait/log-...og=0&data=3-22
https://datazap.me/u/335iv8bait/log-...og=0&data=3-22

I should note that through 3rd gear, i usually have 2-3 big misfires. I need to know if these misfires are even detectable in logs.

May not be misfire somethings making i hit the torque lim. active =4 code, Seems to be hitting it as it gets to 600nm which i think is the limit based on the TCU
Only info i could find is here https://************/yd4lvnwv. Someone else with more experience might be able to chime in.

Edit: Sorry wont let me post link. google What is triggering my Torque Lim Active 4

Appreciate the input. Im swapping tunes tomorrow morning from v7 to v8 to see if it remains. One thing i can say is during a drag strip pull the car never has an issue but thats because the revs stay higher than this troublesome range. Always wonderful clean runs when shifting at redline. Ill also go back through other logs and try to correlate throttle closures to torque limits being applied.

Not sure if you realized your link is broken

actually in 4th its showing 75lbs solid. I do see the short term trims are pulling lots of fuel there..

I just swapped out my LP pump for s2, no Idrive alerts.

Do I have a leak or my car wasn't hot enough? Why is my boost so low.

What was coolant temp - its not logged? Should be 200 really. You are hitting load target and boost wont go any higher. I was going to say try the v8 beta maps but I guess they might not be up anymore.

It should be more than 12 psi. I would send mhd your log.

I was hitting 16 PSI like last week. Let me re do pulls when I have time maybe the car was just weird that one time.

3rd gear 2500 RPM up until 6500 RPM right? Or 5500?

I will add coolant temp next time.

6000-6250 should be fine. It wont make power above that and since looking for much up there.. except maybe IATs and trims to a lesser degree

Hey I'm back again, wasn't able to hit ~ 6500 rpm on the stretch of road but here are 3 logs.

Boost PSI seem to match boost target but still, I was expecting higher PSI?

You dont get higher boost on stage 2, only the + maps, the map is made for stock intercooler
