There's 5 on Autotrader at the mo, which is a lot as things have slowed down a little for the last few weeks. One of them is very nice (bar the lack of a panroof).

Manual N54 LCI with good spec sold in a day the other week for £13k

I recently bout a LCI with low compression cylinder 2 for £7k, plan on fixing and swapping my single turbo from my Pre LCI to it. LCI just look more modern even tho it’s a few subtle changes.

I've been looking. Good ones seem to sell super fast.
Thought I'd post to see if a fellow member has one they were thinking of selling without the hassle.
Thanks

Agree that the rear end of the LCI looks a lot better, although that can be sorted on the pre LCI by swapping the tailgate and rear lights to LCI versions. Personally I think the front of the pre LCI looks better.

Either way I think if you're on the lookout for a manual 335i E91 I'd go for anything that's in good condition at the right price, regardless of LCI or not. The differences are too small when you're dealing with so few good cars to choose from.

I hear you. But prefer the lci and the lower road tax is something that can't really be ignored to be fair.

Anyone thinking of selling in the not to distant future?

Mine's an LCI and I couldn't go for a pre-LCI now, guess you just get used to the rear boot/lights etc! But it's still slow out there, hardly any movement on the ones on Autotrader, I'm guessing petrol prices aren't helping shift big engined cars at the mo.

All N54 ones are over priced on AT the others are N55 and less desirable.

Agree on some of them being overpriced, the white one has been on sale by two different sellers for maybe 2 months now. Re N54/55, I'm a little on the fence... N54 is twin turbo so sounds sexier, and has forged internals so better for tuning, but the N55 is supposedly a little more reliable? Ideally an LCI N54 would crop up but if an amazing N55 cropped up (age/spec/miles/history) I don't think I'd hold off just because it's an N55... Happy to learn more though, and I have a car dealing/mechanic friend of a friend who loves the N54 and I need to pick his brains more when I next see him. In all honesty the 325i is doing a great job so I'm 99% likely just to stick with it...

Agree with all the above. The white n55 has had 3 owners in the past 2 years, so not a good sign.

A decent lci manual with a pan roof sold on ebay for £9000 within an hour last week.
Proves there are a few decent ones left but few and far between.

Hence my post looking for one off a member

The N55 is more reliable than the N54 when it comes to the parts bolted to it. But the N54 can handle more power. However, if you have no intention of going over 500hp then the N55 realistically is the better choice. Although don’t think the N54 is bullet proof. Cars are bending rods without owners knowing due to the low down torque and aggressive tuning being done when on twins. I’m on a big single topmount so it’s less aggressive bottom end.

I bought that! Lovely cars the e91 335i - apparently only 19 ever sold as LCI manuals in the UK, so not easy to find at all. In hindsight, I'd rather have the e90, but couldn't turn down the e91 considering how rare it is. The e91 I bought is also a brilliant spec: M Sport, all the options, heated seats, I Drive, Le Mans blue (best colour 100%), pano-sunroof etc.

I've kept my eyes open for a LCI 335i e90 in the same spec, but haven't seen one for sale in the 2 months I've owned the e91.

Superb, glad it’s gone to a proper owner who knows what they were buying!

I haver a pre LCI e91 6MT and don't discount these, the extra tax banding is a bit of a nuisance on paper but over a year's payments it isn't much extra. I've had mine for 100k+ miles (now on 160k) and 12 years and it has been brilliant. A real do anything car. The odd occasion I thought about changing it I realised I couldn't swap into something (in a one car package) for the money I could afford. If you find one, LCI or not, 6MT or auto, jump on one before they all go.

Mine will be defo up for sale early winter (Oct/Nov time) next year as I will be retiring so will reconsider my car options.
