Some help on mild suspension -- Want to avoid Coilover

Car: 2008 E92 Pre LCI

Front: 19X9.5 ET22 235/35/19
Rear: 19X11 ET25 265/30/19

Trying to see if I can get away with spring/shock combo and NOTcoil over.
  1. Looking at maybe swift spring/Eibach/H&R spring pair with Koni yellow, is it do able w/o rub?
  2. if Swift spring, how much lbs I should be looking at for front and rear?

You're going to rub regardless without a minor roll.

HR + Koni yellow = a great setup that's not too stiff yet offers great handling. This is my current set up.

I'm ok with rolling the fender, as long as I can get away with coilover setup. Reason why I want to get away b/c I still want my car to feel good riding it.

Which H&R spring are you on?

I am on their sport version, which IMHO offers a moderate drop without anything crazy. Their race versions offer more of a drop, I believe an extra .5/.75" in drop if I recall correctly.

I have my Koni's set up to 90% firm and it still rides like a dream - of course, that's all contextual to the owner/driver.

You should go down to a 225 up front since your suspension will be kind of soft and I'm guessing you won't be using camberplates.

Honestly I would reccomend bc coils with stiffer springs. I have 10k front and 16k rear. The rear could still be a little stiffer IMO.

9.5et22 will poke 8mm at stock camber. You need the stretch so you don't break the front fenders.

I have 245/35/19 with the same specs but with -1.8 camber and the e90 has metal fenders. I had the fenders flattened and relocated the bumper bolt. Plus my suspension is fairly stiff. It is still a very tight fit.

I guess I'm just too old and stuck in my ways for all that.

You kids and your damn long hair and loud music....

Nah, whatever makes you happy - no hate here, just seems like too much work for me.

Why not go with OEM Sport springs + Koni FSD? Sweet ride; handling not compromised. Inexpensive.

Dang kids with lowering springs and their Boom-de-boom-de-boom....
