Electric Shavers

My Braun 9595 just isn't cutting it any more

Mine is a few years old and was the daddy of the Braun range. Love the clean and renew system (alcohol cleaning) and it was about 180 quid http://www.amazon.co.uk/Braun-9595-P.../dp/B000IWFU3W .

Any suggestions for what is good these days? The latest Braun looks the same and of course even more expensive at about 230

Don't get on with Philips.

Anyone tried Panasonic?

I have the philips arcitec - which was serious money... £200+

Then i left it on holiday - and in between having it sent back to me i bought the philips 6900 .... about £24 - and i swear it gives me a better shave!

Def recommend it - got mine from amazon.

Will - does it have the cleaner bit? yeah of interest mate, what do you want for it?
p.s. it is definitely new and unused - I really don't want to use your old CB&S shaver

Yes it's got the cleaner and is all factory sealed. The cardboard outer is a little tatty from being moved about though.

I'm still using a blunt old shaver that yanks the hairs out rather than cutting them. I find it more satisfying.

What say £150?

It's this one -

I always use a Panasonic Wet/Dry you can use it in the shower for a really smooth shave.

Used them for 15 years now.

Which model do you use now mate? They seem to be getting a lot of 'better than Braun' reviews

This may sound silly but whats it like using an electric shaver? I've always thought about trying one but because I don't have a clean shave (I usually either leave a bit under the bottom lip, or the chin, or a fine thin beard so wondered if that sort of stuff is possible with a electric shaver?)

After a skin problem that stopped me wet shaving a year ago, I bought the 790 mentioned on here. Being a wet shave man I had my doubts however I was blown away by just how good it was.

I have just started wet shaving again though and it is really nice to be back to that baby smooth finish.

Having said that, I paid £99 for my 790 from Boots as they always seem to have electric shavers on for half price.
