Aliexpress big brake kits (NOW WITH PICS)

Has anyone tried them?
How is the fitment?
Performance?

The kit I am looking at is:

https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/8kRkQlw

The seller will provider floating rotors as well. Might bite the bullet.

Edit: it's here
Here's how it looks https://photos.app.goo.gl/FgMXX6rSVxuZZJ7Q7

For something as important as brakes on a vehicle like this, I don't think I'd ever turn to Alibaba. Especially to pay over $2k after shipping, I'd either save a little more and go with a reputable company or snag one that may come up off the marketplace here. In my opinion, I wouldn't chance alibaba brakes. Have you tried to research this company who makes these brakes at all?

Yeah I agree. If you ever need replacement pads or rotors it'll be hard to source as well.
For that sort of money look for f30 performance brakes they aren't full floating discs but they stop much better than stock and don't have the doubt hanging over them that these will.

A real BBK is 6k. You can usually get them used for $3000.

I would not trust this kit. Even if just for looks.

These are Brembo calipers. Probably some company that Brembo out source to. These https://www.aliexpress.com/item/KOKO...ad165f041945ac even show Brembo on the casting. If wasn't for the affordable F-series brakes these would have been tempting.

Anyone can cast brembro into their castings and sell on alababa afaik. Also, even if the casting are the same you can guarantee everything else is probably not up to brembo specs.

But hey if they somehow perform as well as a 6k BBK go for it.

So you draw conclusions based on what exactly? That is on alibaba? That is Chinese?

Okay, so I worked up a deal, includes floating rotors, street pads(which I can change since they will be like brembo gt) for around 1.1k.

Sellwr assures me that if something does not fit, he will make a new one and send free of charge.

Might seriously bite the bullet.

If those use standardized and readily available rotors/pads I would probably take a chance on them. Times have changed and there are lots of top quality products being made in China now. The quality control of the manufacturing company is what determines if a product is decent, not where the plant is located.

Let’s face it, many of the parts already on all cars are made in (or contain parts made in) China.

What I draw is that it's not because there is BREMBO on the casting that it is outsources by BREMBO. They could just be reproducing them like that

True, but we don't know that. I'm just against dismissing products solely based on their origin.

Oh yeah I agree I'm a sole proponent to NOT dismiss stuff because it's made in china, everything is made in china today.

I'm just dismissing it because it's from Aliexpress. And Aliexpress auto parts that are actually functional like brakes... I dunno.

That it is a no name company with zero track record that I am aware of and brakes are essential to keeping you and everyone around you alive while driving.

The real question is why do you want/need a BBK? If you are tracking the car I can't see anyone trusting their life to no name chinesium wanna be BBK going into a turn at 120+. it is like asking to hit the wall and die.

If it is for looks just swap calipers and rotors from a newer BMW F series etc. Then you get the look and it is at least safe.

The chance that BBK is designed to work correctly with your master cylinder is small. Also if you only upgrade the front your brake bias is going to be really off. If they charge basically 2k for front you would assume around the same for rear so 3500-4000k. Just go buy a used BBK they sell for that price. At least then you will have a name brand bbk that retailed for 6k and you can have confidence in it. Also, how the FUCK are you going to rebuild the calipers? Send them back to china? Do they sell a rebuild kit? Are those rotors going to handle track days? BBK rotors cost $450 each.

So many things make this a bad choice imo.

edit: They make knock off Jordans that look identical to the real ones in China. I am sure they can and do the same for brakes like Brembro. Just because it has a name you know does not mean it is the same quality.

Those brand names are crack up.
Koko racing calipers.
Dick ace (?) pads and lines.
Yeah... no way I'd touch that. What independent standards and testing does it go through? Probably none.

When Japan first started manufacturing and exporting after the Second World War, everything it made was seen to be inferior. They had weird names too. Toyota, Honda, Subaru.....Japanese cars, Motorbikes and electronics are now seen as high quality. The same with Korea. They started to export cars and whilst they aren't quite Japanese yet... give it time. Likewise China. The only ones i see in decline in fact are the Germans and Americans but that could be an automotive thing. They're all trying to be competitive with plastic cooling systems and engines...European motorbikes for example are the least reliable and have moneypit reputations.

I'd go with these over the ones the OP posted:

https://www.aliexpress.com/store/pro...7b1147b6er9gVt

The funny thing is they have rebranded them to Dicakse. Last year they were called Dick Ass brakes.
