I have a stage 2+ tune in my D, and ever since the trans has seemed to behave in a rather unpleasant way, i.e. Hesitations between 3-4 shift, and hesitation when converter would lock up. I was assuming that this was because of the increased torque limits set by the tune. Will getting this trans tune help my issues, or fix them?

Hard to say from a distance, without seeing what the problem is. But likely your trans needs service, not a tune. I'm assuming you have a 335d? Normally they deal rather fine with tunes. At least stay on the stock level of operation.

Only reason could be that your engine tuner has messed up the torque curves significantly. If that's not the case, you likely have to service the mechatronic.

Why is that? Don't know. Ask BMW and ZF.

I'm trying to unfiddle this mess every day.
Does that mean you will eventually develop support for cars with older TCU's such as mine (October 2006)?

Could be your coolant temperatures not at proper operating levels. This happened to a friend of mine and it turned out being his thermostat that was toast. All fine and normal once he replaced his thermostat. Start with that first and then a tranny flush with adaptations reset before thinking the worst.

Hope this doesn't mean that they've encountered problems on the beta test....

For now, it's like that: http://www.xhpflashtool.com/resource...le_support.pdf

Earlier models will be possibly supported later.

I Saw your post on facebook about the type code and support of certain vehicle.

I checked and my 2007 e92 330d (170kw) has "WD51", so it's probably supported?

Sorry for stupid question, i'm just impatient

$119 for the ability to flash maps. You can purchase Xhp maps, 3rd party custom maps, or create your own.
