Having issues with my lights/angle eyes
Hello everyone, I'm really confused right now so I decided to post here for the 1st time to see if someone can explain me.
I have the ugly stock orangeish angel lights right now and I'm willing to change them for some LED white ones. The thing is with the 2007 model, you can't put the angel light as a day time running light. The only way I found to turn them on is putting the light switch to the "marker lights" (the 3rd option). The issue with this is when I turn off my car, they stay ON no matter what. In the AUTO mode, they're always off... Am I doing something wrong or is there something I don't know? |

Assuming you have xenon headlights...
In stock configuration - unfortunately no, there's no way to just use your angel eyes as DRL. Depending on which FRM you have, you may be able to code them. Otherwise, you can purchase a Daeos Vista wiring harness and install it, it will light up your angel eyes when in auto mode when the xenons aren't on.

A possibility is code your DRL's with BimmerCode. This lets you choose witch, how and when DRL function along with many other options.
*BimmerCode app. $30 https://bimmercode.app *$30 for ODB see pic *And you can get bright white led plug and play angel-eye bulbs This worked perfectly on my 2011 but I have no idea if this will work on your year |

Yea, you need an frm2 module to have them as daytime lights.

Hi all-I'm new. I have a question. I have a 2009 E93 and my adaptive headlight warning light keeps going off. Does anyone know if using Bimmercode will allow me to clear the code that is causing this? I can't find any information on their site. Thanks

You need to scan the code to figure out what the issue is. My money is on the adaptive headlight module, but it needs to be properly diagnosed. Don't just clear the code.

With FRM2 you can (mines 2007)
For some time i coded to have only angel eyes while lighting switch is in "0". Then i added fogs also while headlight switch is on "0" and the fogs are yellow LEDs which look quite good with blue BMW. I found this useful because angel eyes DRL + fogs automatically turn on when i start the car meaning i never need to touch the switch during the day time. Any other position with the lightning switch works as expected just the "0" is special. Nfrm module: VERHALTEN_DRL_TFL "drl_tfl_off" --> "tfl_s" (AE with Fog lights) DRL_TFL_MIT_NSW "nicht_aktiv" --> "aktiv" |
