Battery Recognition Programming?!

Looks like the time has come for me to bite the bullet and purchase a new battery for my 2007 335i sedan. Does anyone have the cable to do the battery recognition in or around Orlando? I want to exhaust all possible options before going to the dealer.

find a local indy to do it cheap, a shop did it for me for $20

I've got the Carly app if you are ever near the Tarpon Springs/Clearwater area.

Just registered my Advance Auto 49 h8 battery for free, using bmwlogger software. Already owned the cable they recommended on their site, paid about $20 3 yrs ago, think it's now cheaper.

I did, it actually turned out to be my starter. Thanks for your reply and to everyone else. Just for future reference could someone leave a link for that $20 cable?
