I'm going to flash my 2010 335d LCI with stage 3. I will purchase the general flash so I can change at flash at anytime. I will let you guys know how I get on. I'm only waiting to receive OTG and K+DCAN cables and I'll be ready to go.

I've just updated mine this morning. 2 minutes and 17 seconds to flash; very good!

Behaviour in low gears is definitely further improved and the gear shifts are almost seamless.

To confirm; I'm still running stage 2.

It's a tough one to call. After a long drive last week that used a full tank, I'm currently on around 480 from the tank with around 140 projected range. That will come down as my journeys will be shorter.

By virtue of the fact that the gearbox doesn't kick down at the merest feathering of the throttle leaving you screaming in second gear, i'd anticipate a slight improvement.

Very interested in this. Is anyone prepared to look into flashing my car, for a cost?

The whole point of this is that you can easily do it yourself from your phone.

Yes I understand all that, however I have not got an android device and thought if someone wanted to earn some money, they could help an old man out!

the license is locked to the google account on the device. The license cannot be used on mulitple cars.

Do you not have an old android phone or someone in your family? If you're looking into this then you should get a device as if there are any issues or updates you will need to plug in again.

You can buy a Motorola Moto G for £35 which works a treat.

Loving mine so far, I also have stage 2.

After advice from Len_Beach I bought the Motorola Moto G phone for £35 off eBay it works a treat and is a nice little phone.

Uphill is so much better not constantly up and down the gears, it also seems to change at a time I would do if I was driving a manual so suits me perfectly.

Not done the current update but gear change smoothness is similar to what I was experiencing, I was on the latest software for the gearbox module which I had flashed with ncs.
Downshifts seem seamless so far.

Slightly better fuel consumption by about 2mpg which is a bonus.

All the above is in d mode and I love the little indicator of which gear you are in.

Car is a 07 325d 3.0l e92

Has anyone seen anything regarding the 330i N52/N53 engine getting a map.

I checked the website and nothing was listed as of yet.

Would love to get this done on my N53 330i.

This sounds very interesting. I've been looking around hoping to find out what torque my GB is rated to.

Its the LCI 325d with the N57 and likely the 6HP28. Parts look to be the same as the 330d but there are differing specs for torque converter:

https://www.zf.com/global/media/prod..._DataSheet.pdf

I'm at 300hp and 650nm after a rolling road tune, and want to improve the behavior of the gearbox to match, but only if theres a way to find out if the box can take the strain

Realoem suggests that all N57's from January '08 utilised the GA6HP26ZTU which is the same as the 28.

Search for your car here and you'll see that the box is referred to as a 28. https://webcat-services.zf.com/index...2,14,1632,1614

I emailed them. Will be available this year for N53 330i.

They just said to regularly check their website for updates

Thanks, I'll hopefully be able to have a look under the car soon, and if I see the TU (tech updated, 2nd Gen) on the model no I'll be happy.

Still, I think I need to give this gearbox flash a go, stage 2 sounding like the happy medium.
