touch screen input would be easier than the idrive wheel.
my highway exit is a "cloverleaf", but the bmw navi tells me to take the first exit and make a left at the end of the ramp. is this navteq's mistake or a fault of the system logic? friend's lexus lx would have taken us way off course to my house if we listened to it from just a couple of suburbs away. i wish you could prioritize the realtime traffic info to close to where you are or choose a highway, rather than the way it displays now. mainly, I got it to have the phone, radio and ipod display.

Nevermind the navi...i rather have the S2000's cut off beam from their HIDs
If anyone here ever owned or driven an S2K at night...the lighting is incredible...and it looks so good coming up in your rear view mirror as well..

I know that one car maker is working on a system that you can set it to take you to the nearest gas station if you are running out of gas, The new hydrogen cars have this standard. nearest hydrogen station with sat updates constantanly. neat stuff comming and all around Navi's |

I've just test driven a 2008 C Class mercedes w/ the MultiMedia option, and
in my opinion the Nav in there is better than Acura/Honda's. Its extremely fast, the 3d view has a ton of detail, and the UI is very very intuitive. The reviews have been great as well. Oh, and they did this with just a knob and voice commands (no touch screen or buttons either). |

I believe it. I drove a new Lexus the other day, and IMO it's nav was better than the Acura/Honda nav -- at least from the Acura/Honda 2006 models. Maybe Acura/Honda has improved in the past 2 years, but the Lexus nav was the nicest OEM system I've seen so far. I'm kind of a nav junkie, and I've seen quite a few of them.

Only if it would let you use it when you are driving, i.e. when the car is moving, without hacking into the wiring of the Lexus Nav

^^ LoL. Some people are so sensitive when it comes to others pointing out the weakness in their car (the marketing department at BMW has done their job as far as establishing brand loyalty). As for me, I agree that BMW should improve on their nav system, and I would be frustrated too to find that an Accord has a better navi system than my BMW, which I paid almost twice the money for.

My brother used to own an S2K, the funnest car I've ever driven. The HID's on it were the brighest and best looking HID's on any car I've driven. My last car was an Acura TSX and the HID's were amazingly bright also, and the cut-off was very distinctive. Honda HID's are the best and brightest in my opinion. My 3 series' HID's are not as bright and I noticed right away when I picked it up. I did notice however, when I got a 5 series loaner, that the HID's on the 5 series were very bright. I know. Sorry!

Yeah, i had people flashing me all the time as well. Even though the lights may have been positioned a lil high, they still illuminated a larger area than the lights on the 335.

subjective
Ah,
I think this topic gets quite subjective. I've had 5 -6 handheld gps devices, tested a few of the latest dash gps devices coming out (including the new Dash), and my wife has an 07 accord. I don't like the accord navi, and neither does she. Each system has their attributes, and it may just come down to which ones are to your liking or not. |

I could care less if the Accord's Navi held my hand, beat me off and made coffee for me on my way to work. I'll keep my BMW , thank you very much. The Navi is just a helpful device that you will use 2% of the time you're in the vehicle. 98% of the time I will enjoy the fact I am driving a BMW . That's more important to me. What's next ? You're going to get beat by a riced out Civic with no interior , and tell us you want one because it's faster ???
