I have found that the lazy route often takes more time and effort than just doing it properly.

go slow to work fast is something that has taken me many years to understand.

I admire your effort here, but in the future it's way easier to remove them for paint.
same goes with anything that's just screwed/taped to the body. If you can take it off it's easier to mask and paint.

final results turned out good.

wheel stupidity continues, but at least I'm on the easy and rewarding side of the curve.

my start/stop button was sad.

ebay five dollar holler isn't perfect, but better than 12 year old one.

[james may] that's casual[/james may]

I couldn't take a red button everyday.
hell, I've stripped just about everything out of my cluster.

the less "busy" the interior is the happier I am.

I don't even really care for how glossy this one is, but it's better than the one that's leaking light where it's all worn through.

Clean up the over spray on the trunk and it will look better.

Didn't do anything but ordered some koni yellows for the rear, new lower mounts and Polly upper mounts. One of my rears are leaking and I need to get my inspection done by end of April. I'll get some yellows for the front in a month or two and some dinan springs after that.

Ha, I ended up ordering a silver start button after all those posts. Going to try it out with aluminum trim, hopefully it doesn't look odd.
Will post a pic if it ever comes in the mail.

Side note, they are not chrome/shiny as the box (from Bilstein) and the ad show. Though since they're not visible I don't care. Just a warning to those who might.

B14 is a coilover, B12 isn't.

It's basically the height adjustability that I was after

Not too much drone, still quiet I find myself now really cruising to hear the exhaust and those burples and low grumbles at the light on down shifts ... as for the up revs no improvement until perhaps intake and and tune... other then that completely satisfied I've even caught some occasional onlookers

Nox Sensor thread size?

Hope it's ok asking in this thread? I bought a replacement Nox sensor online (genuine BMW / Continental part) and brought it to a local BMW specialist to have it fitted. He was unable to fit it saying the thread size was different from the one on my car compared to the replacement one i'd bought.
7 587 130 04 = the one alread in my car
7 587 130 05 = the one I have bought as replacement
Does anyone know if this is correct - was there a thread size change between these ?
Amny thanks, Phil

Took out the downpipe fix that was in the car for over a year without me or the last owner knowing. Cars on stock downpipes. Finally fixed all my o2 sensor issues. Shouldve checked if one was installed much sooner
