Starting a progress thread to document my journey with my E91. We'll see where it goes. In the less than a year I've had it, I've really enjoyed it so far. Well maintained by the previous owner. ESS has been replaced along with the gasket. Oil filter housing gasket replaced as well.

This is her the day I picked her up:

Less than a week later I sold those 16" winters and used them to purchase 17" winter tires to put on the oem 17" that were included in the sale as I was planning to purchase 18" wheel/tires this summer. Also bought a pair of Thule crossbars.

Then I got a roofbox, because family.

It warmed up with spring so I decided to do a full detail/paint correction. It looked much better after removing all the swirls.

Interior looking fresh as well. Those gap fillers are honestly great. Don't know how many times they've stopped my phone from falling in there. Not to mention an easier clean, vacuuming all the dirt from that crevice is tedious.

Made a 5 hour trek to grab the PE, had it installed the day after at HotRodScotts in Toronto. I should post a before and after soundclip. I love this purchase. Also ended up not buying 18s this summer so had to slap the 17" summer tires back on.

Took a course from CKwraps.

Then proceeded to wrap my car.

Wrapped the drivers side center portions of the roof box to match.

Then changed it up again. How she currently sits.

The box is still not completely done. Looks less complete on the drivers side. I've learned a lot from reading up on the forums, glad to be here! If you're interested you can follow my page on instagram @ISSAWAGN, or my detailing/wrapping page @DETAILEDAUTOSTYLING.

As for what's next. I'll definitely need some wheels and upgraded suspension in the future.

Thanks, it took me working on it for 3 weekends. I'd estimate around 20-30 hours of work.

Very Cool, the flop on that purple vinyl is crazy, almost looks nardo gray when it flops. The purple is cool too, kinda reminds me of my old e36 M3.

What brand did you end up using?

Thanks, it's called Galaxy Purple from Vvivid Vinyls. Its a GT3RS purple with a gold flake. Funny enough nardo gray was my other final option for this car.

Nardo is what I am leaning towards on my e91. Is the flop that dramatic in person or is it just the camera and monitors playing tricks on me?

Great wagon. I picked up a 2012 e91 xdrive last week and road tripped it home. It's black with the stock 17" wheels.

So far I've tinted the windows, done some coding on it, and I've changed the cabin filters (smelled like Omaha cow turds) and cleaned the A/C evaporator. I ordered some new Koni shocks & struts to refresh the suspension. I also plan on upgrading the audio system with some Audiotek Fisher gear.

Not sure where I'll go after that - maybe some Apex rims & new tires to ditch the Conti run flats it has now - but just have to say I really dig the purple wrap!

Loving that roof box! Which Thule is it?

Are you using the stock cross bars with it?

Good choice. Vvivid also has a Nardo with gold flake if that's something you're interested in. Adds an additional pop in my opinion. In low lighting the gold flake makes the purple look like a purple chrome. In direct sunlight, you can really see the gold flake come through. I'd wouldn't say this is a colour flip vinyl, more of a gloss solid colour with a very heavy flake. My instagram post shows the gold in direct sunlight.

Here's a video from CK. You can see both the Galaxy Purple and Nardo with gold flake.

Thank you! Awesome pickup as well. It's tough to leave it as is! I plan on some Apex Arcs, probably 17 or 18x9. Can't wait.

Thanks! It's Thule Motion XT in a size Large. Crossbars are Thule Aeroblade Edge.

I have my eye on ARC-8 17x9 ET30 in Anthracite paired with 245/40's. I'd have already ordered them, I'm sure, but they're backordered for months...

Thank you!

Update: Just past 170,000km mark, did my oil change.

Put on my brother's old winter setup in meantime so I can get my winter tires mounted on my wheels. I think it looks pretty good.

The front rake is more evident with this setup, or possible the springs haven't settled after jacking it up. Rolling diameter has decreased by 0.46% with this setup so it's pretty close.

Just hit the 180,000 km mark. Another oil change and swapped out my spark plugs. Found a little bit of oil in each of the spark plug chambers. Cleaned them out with some brake cleaner and compressed air. I just had my valve cover replaced a few months ago as it was severely leaking so I'm hoping the oil I found is the remnants of before the repair. I'll check it again in a month and hope it's clean and dry.

My struts have blown from excessive biking trips lately, they were already on their way out. Looking to purchase a set of KW V1s however various distributors in Toronto have ETA of 6-8 weeks to arrive.

Anyone have anything for sale here? Thanks.

Coilovers and M-Tech bumper arrived

Yes! Will be coating the coilovers with some wheel ceramic before installing for added protection against all the grime these will go though, especially in the winter.
