What do you mean?
It started as a stock LP turbo. Has been extensively modified, fitted with much larger wheels and a modified k26 precision turbo turbine housing. This is not a bolt on turbo... I need to adapt the K26 to the turbine bypass valve and the ported exhaust manifold. I’m hoping to have most everything ready for photos in the next 2-3 weeks. The intent of this turbo build was to support 100hp over my hybrid turbo set up. |

Current JR 2.8 Tune - Looking for more...
Currently I have a stepped up intercooler, all deletes have been done, exhaust, etc... as well as the JR 2.8 tune... looking at perhaps going to Stage 4.1 with the hybrid turbo setup or perhaps another setup... interested in seeing how things move forward with your builds...

From 335d Racer. With diesel only. I am now building same kind of engine to my civil 335d coupe M-sport with water/meth. With ~3 Litre MB, I am clearly above 700hp line and pulling rpm,s up to 7000rpm. |

Hi Guys , sorry to dig up this thread .
But i've been reading this for a while now , and i registered myself here on the forum to participate , and try to chat with a few members , if possible . Long story short , i've got an E60 , manual gearbox , and i swapped an 35d engine 286hp version in it , upgraded to CP3 pump , remap , 3" exhaust , all the usual mods . Now im on the point of upgrading turbos , sent my turbos to a turbo shop , but they cannot find me the k26 upgrad turbine wheel that i asked for ( or even close to that ) . You all talk about different turbos , made in different shops , but didnt seen anyone specifying exatly the setup on the turbos . Can anyone help me a bit with this , and other stuff ? Just didnt wanted to leave here a big text |

Setup seems to be a secret sauce. You sound like you are in Europe. Contact ProTurbo in Finland or TurboSystems in Lithuania. They both modify turbone and compressor side. You can find them on a Facebook easy.

Thats right , i'm from europe .
I already contacted them, only proturbo . But i wanted to know some peoples oppinions that have hybrids ( even if they have compressor wheel only ) , just to have some idea on hp range they can get . Of course this envolves many variables , setup , remap , etc etc For example , turbosystems say their setup on the website : https://www.turbosystems.info/produc...bochargers-kit "K26 turbocharger: dual ceramic ball bearing to eliminate turbo lag between K26 and KP39 spools due to bigger compressor and turbine wheels; reinforced bigger machined from the solid compressor wheel - 60/86mm; bigger turbine wheel - 69/64mm; refurbished housings; new shaft; balanced on VSR;" I can get lots of parts , KTS compressor wheels , mamba turbines , etc I'm getting some difficult getting a k26 upgrade turbine wheel , as mamba only sells 2 . One has OEM size (54.5/64.3) but instead of the original 12 blade shape , they have 9 . And another one a little bit bigger (58.8/67.2) 9 blade . They can make me one custom on my request , but it takes a while . And seems , based on these turbosystems setup , they are using a similar turbine wheel that we use on gt3582 turbos ( a bit smaller but it would do the job ) Waiting for your inputs thanks |
