Comfort Access Partially working

I just recently bought a 2011 328i xdrive and discovered that the comfort access unlocking and locking does not work on the driver's door.

I can start the car without inserting the fob and the unlock/lock CA works on the passenger door. I have 2 fobs and I tried each of them separately to see if the other would work with CA on the driver's door, no luck.

All the buttons of both fobs work to unlock/lock the car so there's no issue there. I even replaced a battery to see if that would fix it (didn't think it would), still no luck. I've also tried the whole insert metal key to unlock door, put fob in, start engine, stop engine etc.

My next step is to remove the door handle and check if the wire is properly attached. Has anyone else experienced this problem, or have any suggestions?

Thanks.

Get some diagnostics Ista D and the standard tools suite.
Have somebody hold the fob close to middle of the rear window
while opening it. The diversity antenna is there.
With diagnostics you can test stuff without taking it apart.
If it was doing this one side of the car and not the other you might
be right but if its both sides a diversity antenna problem would be
more likely .
