I've used Heritage Collision Center in Sherman a few times. The owner's name is Shiloh 903-891-3040 He did nice work on my old Subaru and my wife's minivan. Haven't had any work done on the 335is yet.

Anyoing going to Friday Night Drags at Texas Motor Speedway tonight? Not sure if I want to go or not but if there will be other 335i's that would sway me

Well if anyone ends up going, come find me in the pits. I will be in the black 335i with black wheels. May not stay for the late racing but I will be there for the practice.

I need to have my windshield replaced on my 09 E90. Can someone recommend someplace reputable in the Fort Worth area?

I ended up going to safelite, and they replaced it with a pilkington piece. I'm happy with the work, and everything looks great.

Anyone in the DFW area with a scanner? I'm getting some random ECU errors stating "malfunction in transmission" followed by the car locking itself into 3rd. I have to pull over, turn off car for a few minutes and start again. From there, error lights go away and car drives normal.

There are some hard shifts occuring as well, almost like it slips out of gear while driving. Its completely random, I am not able to reproduce on demand, and some times I'll drive for 30 mins - 1 hour and not have any issue with the tranny, other times it'll pop and error light within 2 minutes of driving.

My CPO just expired so I don't want to pay the dealer a shit ton just to read the stored ECU codes.

FYI autozone can read codes for free. If you have a smart phone I suggest buying a bluetooth obd2 scanner. It's a real good tool to have.

Any advise on choosing between Classic BMW's body shop or Frisco Body and Paint (Main St in Frisco)? Thx.

Update. Taking my almost new car to Classic BMW for a door and bumber repair. I hope I am not making a mistake.

I feel that. I just did mine this weekend. Every thing went well but the plug in cylinder 4 was seized and I found some oil chilling in cylinders 2 and 5 so I guess I have a valve cover gasket is my future.

Now that can be a little bit more of a headache... Hopefully you got the plug out without too much hassle!

Not really.

It was seized up pretty good and didn't want to fight with it. It's still in there. Changed them all except 4. No misfires yet so it's all good. Picking up some PB-blast, I'll get it out this weekend.

Dang man, yeah just go easy on it! I'd hate to see another thread on a plug breaking in the hole!

Wink Nice Paint Job on 328i in DFW area!

Hi! I'm new on here. Can anyone give me advice on where I can get a nice paint job done on my Monacco Blue 328i please in the DFW area? Also just a general question for a friend with oxidation on the roof? What would be the best approach for treating or removing oxidation on the roof? DETAIL? or PAINT JOB? Thanks in advance for all replies and suggestions..
