Are e92’s hard to break into?

So I live in south Texas, in my city there have been numerous car break ins. Those are particularly Kia and Hyundai. This is happening everyday in my city, and thefts are only going up. I’m worried that one day someone might like my e92 too much and will want to take it. My question is, how easy is it to steal an e92? Is it easy to hot wire it? Should I just get an upgraded security system? I’m more worried about someone hot wiring it. I always keep my doors locked and have tinted windows. I do not have keyless entry. Thanks. sincerely a worried e92 owner.

Dont seem to be on any “easy target” list in my area. My e92 has survived untouched in my neighborhood while neighbours have been broken into (honda, dodge, toyota).

If there are easier targets around you wont be hit

depend of the transmission in US,

if you have this, the risk of having your car gone is almost 0%.

Your average thief is more than likely not going to steal your car. Bimmers aren't very sought after unless the thief is just looking for something for a joy ride. You could always pull a fuse, or get a GPS device. If it's any consolation I live in a neighborhood where cars get broken into, and sometimes stolen out of their driveway. My e92 has never been touched in the several months its sat on the street in front of my house lol.

The Kia and Hyundai are especially easy targets because of some TikTok videos that explain simple hacks that circumvent the security systems. I just keep my cars well-insured and try not to worry about vandalism.
