Who washes your car?

I know this has probably been addressed before, but not able to find it under search. And I know (shame on me), if I were a purist, I'd take the time to wash my car myself, right? Well I don't have time and my car is jet black so... Can anyone out there make recommendations on reputable detailers/washers in the DC/NoVA area? Thanks!

How about a compromise? A self-service car wash bay?? Especially with Jet Blacks, you want to limit the exposure to auto car wash with brushes and rails...etc. If you go the detailer route, that's a another story. But that would conflict with the time constraint, unless you just wanted a wash, period.

a self service wash bay is the best way to go, esp if you don't have the luxury of a driveway.

Me and only me.

The dealer once washed it while it was in for some work, despite being specifically told NOT TO WASH IT

Luckily it came back pretty good and swirl free.

I can easily spend 4 hours+ washing, drying and detailing the car inside and out. When its finished it looks brand new again.

I hate washing the wheels though, thats the worst part, such a pain in the ass. The exhaust pipe is a bitch too. But its awesome when its finished.

Yeah, i agree. My paintwork looks like it did the day I got it, and i dont use any special treatments and have only polished it once.

I just use the 2 bucket method, microfibre mitts and lots of microfibre towels.

Yep, I never have a dirty car. Paint almost looks as factory, and no swirls. I use dish washing agent, smells good, and does a great job. Wash the car every a few weeks, if we have rain then that following week because it makes the break dust noticeable.
