Yes it does.
It fools the ECU by giving it the signals it expects from the O2 sensors. The fix modifies the inputs slightly as it passes them on. The circuits are extremely simple. The A7 version used a 555 as a timing latch. |

No personal experience with it, but many happy customers in his OG thread.
Truthfully, it's probably the exact same thing. He just found an OG one, took it apart, and started making them with his own materials is what likely happened. |

Fairly certain catylst not ready is auto fail, check page 11 bullet 11 towards the bottom. The bigger concern is it mentions if you fail for that reason, you may need to do exhaust sniffer test as well as OBD when you "fix" the issue.
That means possibly reinstalling kitties? https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sour...IMOUyDv3wuWKEE Last edited by Cabdriver; 02-19-2020 at 09:05 AM.. |

I just installed these on my car, I had catless DP's before. I was hoping that it would keep the CEL off but I still get the 29F4 and 29F5 codes "catless downpipes detected" (JB4 app)
These are CP-e HiFlo Cats with a high temp powder coating. My car is FBO with JB4 module. I used all the OE 02 sensors, would buying new post cat 02 sensors fix this issue? Maybe? If not then i am just going to install MHD as a back end flash, suppress the code and take it to the DMV and see if they pass me.

The o2 sensor/cats MUST show complete to pass.
While you see posts here indicating that you can pass with one incomplete, that is not true for the cats. For instance you can pass with the evap incomplete, but the same status on the cats is an instant fail. Suppressing the codes is NOT the same as showing sensor readiness. Code suppression of the cats also causes a fail. DPfixes allow the system to show cat readiness/completion. Hi flow cats also can throw codes and incompleteness requiring a DPfix to pass. |
