You have eagle eyes! I have a Euro bumper (with no reflectors) on order right now. The current bumper is the only area of the exterior with much wear on it, I'm planning to keep it to swap on for road trips or auto-x/track days.

To answer your question, the holes are visible. I've seen a few methods where you can fill it and put a bit of touch up paint to hide it. It's not a perfect solution but significantly cheaper than having it filled and resprayed by a body shop.

Also someone who appreciate slicktop and no I-Drive! That my kind of driver! My wife thought I was nuts looking for months for E90 with no sunroof and I-Drive.
You are not alone! I love the clean dash and slicktop, I wish e91's could have been spec'ed without one here. The exhaust is a OEM Performance unit. Interestingly it's quieter on the e91 compared to my e82, even with the same engine. Still a really nice upgrade even if it's not as drastic.

This is interesting. I never knew that PE is included in the package perhaps. I would have thought the car would come with standard 328i exhaust. Its a great rare car indeed.

It wasn't on the car from the factory, OEM in the sense that BMW makes it. Sorry for the confusion! It has the same M Sport inclusions as e90 and e92.

Did some wagon things today! Also, finally got around to having somewhat of a proper photo shoot. I've added my favorite shots to the first post in the thread.

I'm still so happy it had a great previous owner!

My old coworker was in town and brought his E91 by for a few minutes. We snapped a couple of pictures of the yin and yang twins together. The lighting wasn't the best but these 2 shots turned out decent.

This weekend, I saw my 1er loaded onto the back of a truck and headed off to a new home.

I promised myself to not mod my e91 until the e82 was sold and somehow I managed to keep that promise.

Now everything is fair game! I ordered a couple things last week and the first to arrive was a different set of kidney grills. I had a pair of stockers and black grills but switched things up a bit by doing a 335is style chrome slat combined with a black outer piece.

Not sure if I'm sold on the look but it's easy enough to reverse -

Very nice, add a set of Style 225’s and you’re golden.

I actually really like stocks since they only came on 328i M Sports.

Either style 219 (love the look, not a fan of the extra weight) or 513's will end up on the car in the not so distant future though.

A few other OEM+ mods are in the works as well.

There aren't any updates in terms of mods or maintenance due to all the time I’ve spent working on my house over the past few months. I have a Euro front bumper awaiting paint sitting in my garage. Once I find a set of M3 mirrors, then I’ll send both to paint.

Over the long weekend, I finally put some serious miles on my touring! All in, I put close a thousand on it which is more than double I log in a normal month. I took it down to San Diego and wandered around my old stomping grounds. On my way back to Vegas, I took quite a few detours and ran up the coast and across the 74.

Here are a few photos I took on the trip –

Crossed over 60k recently (eek!) and picked up some new shoes.

The stock M3 tire sizing is a bit aggressive even with suspension mods and rolled fenders out back. The overall tire diameter was noticeably more than the stock 17" setup. The 265/40/18's rub ever so slightly when going over odd angled bumps. I think I'll be going with 255/35's to mitigate the issue, hopefully they won't look stretched.

Euro front bumper is still sitting in the garage unpainted...

Nice car. ---Subscribed . . . lately I've been looking at e91s for their utility. Along with stock Mtech e91s, there are tastefully mod'd ones that I've seen in this forum. Yours sir has me thinking more about adding an e91 to my stable of an '01 e46 330i Sport 4DR AT and an '07 e90 335i Sport 6MT.

Thanks! They're great cars, I really have enjoyed mine so far. The utility is great and you get it without sacrificing much of anything in terms of performance. The only downside is a touch more weight. If you're not dead set on finding one in 6MT, you can find reasonably priced autos if you hunt around. There's a great for sale thread in the cars for sale section here.

Same here! I'm still debating whether to downsize tires to fit the 9.5 rears or if I should track down another set of fronts to run a square setup.

Happy to buy the Mtech bumper when you have it removed.

Awesome car BTW!

Love it. Still miss my factory 6MT e91. Such a fun DD.

BUT I will have a N54 + 6MT E91 almost done!

So glad to see you went with those wheels. I was looking at them and the 18Ē f80 wheel before I sold it.

Also, go with the 9.5 rears. Donít forget, the fenders are rolled with a slight pull. My last set was 19x10 +22 with 255/35. Iím surprised the 255/40 is too tall.

I've neglected this thread quite a bit and changed my username! I've been posting quite a bit in the E91 photo thread, E91 mega for sale thread, and on Instagram though.

The E91 is coming up on its two year anniversary with me and the car has been fantastic in the 9,500 miles I've thrown at it. Not much has gone on in the way of modding or upkeep since my last post. It's been dead reliable for my two years with the car and haven't had to address much outside of fresh fluids and the defunct TPMS when I took delivery. I've had some issues with the drivers side corona rings and think the wiring inside the housing has separated so I may need to fit a replacement assembly if I can't repair it. For now I've coded out the halos until I can pull the headlight and troubleshoot. I was able to confirm it's not the FRM.

Here's how it sits currently with the chrome grills and roof bars on -

A few things are on deck for the spring. First is rubber for the Style 260s, I've decided to go with a square 255/35 setup across 4 fronts. The tires needed to fit the 9.5 rears are far too stance-y for my eyes. The brakes also need to be addressed as my front rotors have developed some shimmy and need replacing. I have a set of e9x 335 calipers that I'd like to fit but they need to be painted or powder coated. I'm leaning towards Phoenix Yellow like the Performance setup. I also want to pull the trigger on M3 mirrors but we'll see what's left in the budget after the new garage cabinets, tires, and brakes.

Test fitting the 260s:

I also added a second E91 to my garage this past summer. It's an 07 pre-LCI automatic in Sparkling Graphite Metallic over Black with Sport + Premium + Xenons. It had around 110k on it when we picked it up and have put almost 6,000 miles on it already. It's been a great replacement to her leased Jetta and handles all our daily needs. It's in solid mechanical shape as the previous owner had already addressed tons of stuff including the oil pan gasket, waterpump/t-stat, OFHG, etc. I did have to replace and code a battery but it's been reliable otherwise. No mods are planned for it other than the Euro spec tails I fitted the first month of ownership but time will tell!

Cosmetically it has some bumps and bruises and sits firmly in the driver category. It isn't a show car by any means! I cleaned up the headlight lenses and need to have some PDR done. Honestly it's nice to have a car with a few battle scars and not be paranoid about when parking in a busy parking lot.

I did abandon my e36 project 10 years after my brother's motorcycle accident. I was prepping to pull the rear subframe and began the suspension tear down and came across a ton of rust. The front shock towers were toast and there was tons of rust creeping around unseen in the rear, plus what I was already aware of in the panel between the trunk lid and bumper, the sunroof surround, and other seams. The chassis was too far gone and I'd lost the will to work on the project. I had the car scrapped.

It was a tough decision at the time but I'm ok with it now. Plus, it's nice to have a usable 2 bay garage again!!

In the month or so the e36 has been gone, I've finished painting the garage interior and got rid of a bunch of junk that has accumulated over the 6 years I've lived here. This spring I'm planning to refinish the floors and install some cabinets, right now storage is basically non-existent since the garage has been an indoor junkyard for the past 4-5 years.
